You know when you understand what a word means, but can 't quite define it? For instance the word "the". Well there are many words you know, but couldn 't translate the definition if someone were to ask you to. That 's sort of how I feel about the word "happiness." Along happiness comes smiling, giggling, laughing, and positive vibes. It 's your heart 's way of smiling, metaphorically speaking of course. Happiness is defined as the state of being happy. My goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I want to be mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy overall. As long as I am maintaining a healthy lifestyle, my weight shouldn 't be a significant factor in my life. I 've done and continue to do numerous things to ensure that I maintain this sort of lifestyle. Simple things such as drinking a smoothie every morning can have a big impact on your health. I 've come to realize that being healthy and being thin are two completely different things. You can be unhealthy and thin, just as well as healthy and not thin. Your happiness shouldn 't be wrapped around your weight, because that is not healthy. Since my goal is to maintain a healthier lifestyle, I 've been eating clean, meditating, and exercising. To make sure I don 't fall into the cycle of bad eating, I make sure I am stocked on healthy food choices. I still have my cheat days every now and then, but I 'm a lot more healthier than I was when I first started out. Meditation isn 't anything new to me, but I haven 't done it in a really long time. It 's a great way to clear the mind and relax the muscles. Yoga is also a great way to feel refresh physically and mentally. However, happiness is hard to achieve, but it can be as simple as being contented, doing what you love, and living who you really are. Finding the level of ultimate contentment and life satisfaction can be challenging, but the perception of situations or powerful social connections strengthens the level of happiness within a person. As people continue throughout their life, it is important to recognize what makes them happy.
When was the last time you did something purely for the goal of being happy? When was the last time you were intentional about your happiness? Do you wake up in the morning excited about your life? Are you mentally and emotionally ready to go to work each morning? If you answered no to any of these questions, you may want to ask yourself “Why?”. Why aren’t I living a happy life? What do I need to do to change this behavior? Scientists are asking themselves these same questions and trying to figure out what they can do to observe and change these behaviors. They are asking themselves what they can do to encourage happiness, promote healthy lifestyles, and provide unity in the workplace, while also finding correlations between happiness and certain behaviors. A choice may be temporal meaning that it will only make you happy for a short amount of time or it could be eternal meaning that it is something that “makes you tick”.
