I agree with the disposition that it is unethical to shop at brands like H&M or Forever 21. Around 80% of unwanted clothes end up landfills or incinerators. H&M and Forever 21 are known to share the similarities of selling cheaply made designer clothes that end up getting thrown away. This can have a detrimental impact on our environment. Americans are known to throw away 14 million tons of clothes a year, and if you were to calculate other countries like Canada, or Germany who also share the H&M and Forever 21 brand then those statistics would be even higher. Due to the amount of fast fashion and cheap quality clothes out there, If you have clothes that you 're trying to get rid of, don’t think that you’ll make any money. If you are an individual who works hard for your money then this could be an eye opener to think twice before opening your wallet to brands like this. The consumers who shop at H&M or Forever 21 are the consumers who appreciate “the now” compared to the consequences of the next trend. The depressing moment, is that most consumers might not know that their clothes are cheaply made or the recycling process is impactful to their environment. An inconvenience like this outrages the individual who spark an interests in giving their unwanted clothes to charity, or the individuals who believe that Thrift shops are for transferring clothes to the needy. Most of us want to make an impact that may be on our wallet, the environment and how we best feel we should donate or dispose of our unwanted clothes. This is a message to all of us that we should think twice where are garbage bags of clothes are going. A big problem with cheaper fast fashion brands is higher end companies who sell high end east coast fashion brands like, Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, or TopMen like Macy’s, Kohl’s or Nordstrom struggle with sales because many individuals feel they can get a better value for their dollar without knowing or realizing the outcome of their purchase. He felt uncomfortable and felt as if the sales associates thought he looked suspicious purchasing lingerie. Because of this, Raymond opened the first Victoria’s Secret store in 1977 which would forever change the lingerie industry (Fabry). The name “Victoria’s Secret” was created because of the sensation and feel of the victorian era he wanted to afflict onto the store.
