Gun Control In America Pros And Cons

Our candidates for president have very non-balanced opinions on all the political issues. There are many political issues but gun control and the problems on the no-fly list stand out with many opinions and ideas.
Gun Control
Trump is against gun control, and thinks we need to do something about this problem. Trump says, “Get serious about prosecuting violent criminals. Get gang members and drug dealers off the street to make our cities and communities safer.” He thinks that we need to make the community a safer place for the citizens so we don’t have as many crimes and criminals roaming around, but he doesn’t want to start “no guns” because some are for safety issues not all of them are for harm. Later he also says, “Expand mental health programs to keep the mentally ill off of our streets.” So if you have a medical problem, we need to make the programs bigger so we don’t have people accidentally turning something into a crime. “Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea

because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed, Trump wrote in a book in 2000.” On the other hand, Hillary Clinton’s views on this issue is that it is time to act.

Clinton says, “I believe weapons of war have no place on our streets.” This is a strong statement because she has a big opinion about this subject, and has a lot to say about it. We can tell that she wants to do something about this political issue, and she wants people with guns that are hurting people to be punished. Clinton says, "We can have common sense gun reforms that keep weapons out of the hands of criminals and the violently unstable while respecting responsible gun owners…”(procon.org)

It helps with showing her opinion and this statement is important because she thinks if we get rid of guns for bad people, there will only be the responsible gun owners that are actually doing their job instead of hurting others.
We need to know what to do about these comparing issues, and that starts when people stop doing harmful things to others, and turning themselves into criminals. Some may say death penalty is a good punishment, and some may say we should eliminate it because it is harmful and does mentally change a person knowing that they are one of the people with a death penalty.
