A automatic will fire multiple bullets as long as u hold the trigger down. A growing number of publicized tragedies caused by gun violence have caused a great stir in the American community. Recently, President Barack Obama has made proposals to tighten the regulation of and the restrictions on the possession of weapons in America to lessen these tragedies. Should the legislative branch decide in favor of his proposals, all American citizens who do or wish to own the type of weapons in question or who use current loopholes in existing policy would be directly affected. His proposals, which are to “require background checks for all gun sales, strengthen the background check system for gun sales, pass a new, stronger ban on assault weapons, limit ammunition magazines to 10 rounds, finish the job of getting armor-piercing bullets off the streets, give law enforcement additional tools to prevent and prosecute gun crime, end the freeze on gun violence research, make our schools safer with new resource officers and counselors, better emergency response plans, and more nurturing school climates, [and] ensure quality coverage of mental health treatment, particularly for young people,” have been cause for a large amount of recent debate (whitehouse.gov).
Gun control is a very controversial subject now days in politics. My personal view on gun control is that it will never work. I'm am just fore warning you that this paper may be a little bias, but I'll try to give views from both sides.
The high-capacity magazines law should be enforced. For instance, “High-capacity magazines — or assault weapons likely equipped with them — were used in at least 15 of the incidents (11%).” (Analysis of Mass Shootings). Due to high-capacity
Gun control in the United States has been a major debate for hundreds of years. Many people believe that guns should be highly regulated while others believe that anyone should have the ability to own one. Each side has a plausible argument. Throughout this essay it will be show how not having gun control can increase violence and death rates, the right for everyone to own a gun is not guaranteed by the Second Amendment, and how over usage of guns has played a role in the diminishing populations of animals.
At present there are numerous regulations and restrictions on firearms imposed by the government. However there are no national mandated requirements or all encompassing legislation. The laws in place vary from state to state and are in some cases are poorly enforced. Hard evidence as to the effectiveness of these present regulations is ambiguous. The question as to how the government and society deals with gun control is unique to the USA. In a complex issue such as gun control both sides of the equation have valid arguments to be h...
Taking into account of the recent shooting sprees, the gun control debate has started again. However, people have contemplated: “Why does America need gun laws” and “Why are so many states disagreeing about the restrictions that need to be put in place for civilians looking to purchase firearms.” The reasoning for such contemplation is that the fluxuating strictness of gun laws have led to several incidences within states that have strict gun laws due to the fact that the perpetrators of these incidences have purchased their firearms either from black markets, or states where the severity of gun control is at minimal levels.

Public shootings have recently become the backbone behind the gun control movement. People are hoping that potential shooters wouldn’t be able get the weapons if we put stricter regulations on weapons. Background checks and clip size are just a few of the issues that are being presented to lawmakers. Intensifying background checks could slow the amount of shootings happening but, won’t stop them. Most shooters receive their guns illegally or have someone that will pass a background check buy it
Gun control can be defined as “the use of law to limit people's access to handguns, shotguns, rifles, and other firearms” ("Gun Control"). In other words, the government initiates a set of new regulations that gives the government the right to strip and monitor the firearms owned by the gun owners. The new demand for legislators to acknowledge and reform the gun laws present today because statistics show how guns has contribution to killings in America and the horrific tragedies. Every year in the U.S., an average of 100,000 people are shot, according to GunPolicy. Out of that 100,000 people shot, some of those victims consist of children, bystanders, fathers and mothers. The lethality of guns in 2011 firearms was responsible for 32,163 deaths in America (Alpers). Firearms have been used recklessly and claimed thousands of lives of Americans, increasing the death rate. If gun control was in effect and passed by legislators the deaths in America from firearms would not be so large. What also contributes to these facts is the ability to obtain guns for violent acts of crime which why the government need to suppressed and monitored firearms.
Every day some news related to gun violence are being heard all over the world. Shooting in driveway, public places, schools, homicide and suicide are some of different types of gun violence. Shooting on people and killing them is a big issue in the world and different comments are provided about that. One of the most important of them is about gun control laws. Stingl (2013) says “The term gun control as it is used in the United States refers to any action taken by the federal government or by state or local governments to regulate, through legislation, the sale, purchase, safety, and use of handguns and other types of firearms by individual citizens.” According to this idea gun control laws should be stricter and people should not be able to have access to guns easily. However, there are many other people who believe this idea is not a good solution and never help. This essay will demonstrate for and against views about the topic. People who agree with this idea consider: firstly, stricter laws will reduce violence and gun control means crime control. Secondly, some research shows people with gun are more at risks of getting shot. Thirdly, guns can always be misused by their owners and finally, stricter law is the best and the faster way to control crime and make community safe. While opponents say first of all, guns are necessary for people safety and protection. Secondly, guns are not the only tools for killing and violence; there are other weapons too and finally, gun ownership is human rights.
My project is about gun control laws to stop people who have bad background information about how they use the guns and in what way. I’m going to talk about the laws that could be used to stop the purchases that could end with a shooting and the killing of the innocent people. I’m also going to talk about the pro’s and con’s with gun control laws. If there was a side that I will pick I would chose it will be. No, because guns don’t kill people, people kill people. It’s not like a gun is just going to go off randomly, the trigger has to be pulled because guns don’t have a mind of there own.

Gun control has been a major issue for many years now and it seems as time progresses gun violence rates are increasing. There has been massive shootings in the United States because not everyone who posses a gun is in the right state of mind. Firearms have been handed down to the wrong people and the laws they have against firearms have been very controversial. There are many disagreements to the safety requirements of purchasing a gun. Although they have been safety requirements before it has not stopped the violence because it keeps increasing. Therefore the law makers have been discussing if guns should be allowed or banned from certain places.
I am an avid gun owner and supporter of the second amendment, as most of my community is. I take a firm stance against gun control. Of course I always kept my guns secured when my children were young, but as they grew older, I taught them how to use and have a healthy respect for firearms. Once they became teenagers and could handle a gun safely, I began keeping a gun and ammunition accessible so they could retrieve it in my absence, in case they needed to use it for self-defense. At least I did until I began my research. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), in 2015 suicide was the second leading cause of death for ages 15 to 24 (“Injury Prevention” 1). The CDC also reports firearms are utilized as the method for suicide in 45%
Gun Control laws refer to laws that aim to restrict and regulate the sale, purchase, or possession of fire arms throughout licensing. Today more than half of the U.S wants stricter gun laws. While others think that bearing arms is part of their rights. The right of individuals to bear arms has been fiercely debated, over the last century. While opponents typically cite gun control measures as an infringement on the right to bear weapons, supporters support that the Second Amendment does not limit the government from modifying the proliferation of firearms in the United States, or from stopping potentially dangerous and unstable people from retrieving powerful weapons.
