Although some people believe growing up in small towns is better growing up in larger cities is better, growing up in large cities is much better because you get more opportunities of doing things you couldn’t in small towns, you have more social activity in the big city than the small town, and you have bigger areas to explore around than traveling same spaces each time in a small town. Who wants to run out of gas before making it into town in a small town when you can just call the taxi? First, growing up in larger cities is much better because of the greater opportunities you get. Unlike small towns, you get better education over being out on the road before you are on your own in large cities. Like readingg signs, you can also have better
Naturally, one of the biggest decisions you will need to make is whether you prefer to live in the city or if a suburb is the better option for you. Deciding between these items could affect your school district options, cost of living and the options you have for housing.
Has it ever occurred to you that cities learn and develop similarly to how a person matures as he or she learns? A person goes through things as they grow and learn from their mistakes which causes them to mature over time. A city acts similarly to a young person in that it goes through problems. When facing these problems the people of the city fix them and find ways to prevent them from happening again as if it is maturing. This is what Carl seemed to see from his experiences in Chicago. Since living in Chicago, Carl Sandburg grew to love the young vibrant city and he describes it by comparing it to a young person in his poem “Chicago”.
There is rarely a worry about the safety of children because of the trust and friendliness in a small town. Additionally, children know that they have to be well behaved because someone is always around. This freedom lead to countless hours running to various friends houses, parks and the beach. Of course the candy store is also a frequent stop. The only rule in place is to be home before dark. The lack of entertainment in a small town, only increases the independence children have. They are forced to create their own forms of entertainment rather than to rely on adults. The independence this creates carries into school and adult life. People in small towns know how to be self-reliant and responsible for their own
Cities grew simply because that’s where the jobs were. Poor immigrates settled into cites looking for work and often took low end factory jobs to get by. Between 1840 and 1860 4.2 million immigrates moved to the United States, mostly Irish and Germans (Lecture 11). The Irish, who were fleeing the great famine, came to America looking for a new start (Lecture 11). Arriving with little money and no skills, outside of agriculture skills, had to take low paying factory jobs and live in the slums (Lecture 11). The Irish took jobs native American didn’t want like building the railroad and canals, common laborers, servants, longshoremen and factory operators (Give Me Liberty 335). While the Germans who were fleeing political upheaval, arrived with a little more money in their pockets were able to buy land and start their own business (Lecture 11). They established themselves as craftsmen, shop keepers, and farmers and lived in tight knit communities in eastern cities (Give Me Liberty
I used to live in the suburbs of San Francisco (tarlock). Now I live in Chicago . san Francisco is very different from Chicago. san Francisco has a better weather . San Francisco is hotter than Chicago, for example Chicago has a wet springs hot, and humid summers and cold winters and Chicago have more snow than rain but San Francisco has only rained and no snow. Another difference between San Francisco and Chicago is the transportation. For example the people of Francisco prefer to ride a bike or walk instead of using a car, but the people of Chicago like to drive a car or take a public transportation instead of walking. Furthermore, san Francisco and Chicago shares similar types of foods, but each city have it’s own
setting being in the city rather than a small town, is that the cities often have many people
Living and growing up in a small town is better than doing so in a big city.
For many city residents, the country conjures up pictures of unpolluted air, garden-fresh food and physical activities. But these days, Americans residing in big metropolitans live longer, better lives compared to their country counterparts – a reversal from years earlier. One of the most prominent features of the industrial stage is the development of urban life. In early times, the populations habitually lived in settlements engaged in agriculture. Cities arose here and there as hubs of trade or government organizations. Today in all developed nations, the situation has been reversed. The city people in United States and England have expanded nonstop over the countryside residents. Although big urban areas were once infamous for law-breaking
Many people prefer live in a small town and the big city, they have some reason why they want live there, for me i prefer to small city because all food cheaper maybe? Yeah maybe cheaper than big city right? And in small town so peace no one protest about goverment or another like that. Small town people if they meet artist they only wanna take some shake hand or selfie maybe take some signature?, but in big city? So many paparazi there and stalker too, but in small town hard for you to find something, not all thing you can find in small town ,but in big city you can find it but expensive for sure.
The people n the country are less focused on and more happy essentially on the grounds that there is less things in their psyche and life to manage and they additionally have a tendency to be all the more amicable towards others, however the people in the city have a parcels to manage and it in some cases gets over their shoulders and this makes them be all the more wary and at times damage others. It is with demonstrating of the reasons above indicated unmistakably that the country lifestyle is much superior to the city lifestyle. However of course it is a decision made by people focused around their identity and their lifestyle where they might want to settle and
Small towns are more snug and safe for people. Living in a small town is less troubling, because you know everyone and everyone knows you. People look out for neighbors and each other. Ever run out of sugar for a recipe and have nowhere to go? Therefore, you could just ask a neighbor for a cup of sugar. The neighbors are always someone you can trust and if you ever need something, you just ask them. Also, crime rates tend to be lower in small communities and many people report they feel secure. Small towns are safer because you know almost everyone.
My first and most important reason of thinking small towns are better is that stress is a minimal. In smaller towns there are less people to start rumors or say bad things about others. There are fewer people to spread rumors too, as compared to big cities and those things spread like wildfires. There isn’t as much of a rush to go places because there isn’t as much
Big families are inherently closer than smaller families. There is a lot of evidence to support this claim some of it coming from television, but most coming from everyday life. Big families have a tendency to go through more colorful experiences than smaller families. We may drive each other crazy but that’s part of what brings us together.
Urbanization occurs naturally from individual and corporate efforts to cut time and cost in commuting and transportation while improving opportunities for jobs, education, housing, and transportation. Living in cities allows individuals and families to take advantage of the opportunities of proximity, diversity, and marketplace competition. People began moving into cities to seek economic opportunities.
In small families, we’ll have better health and at the same time greater wealth. Preferring a small family can help you make your state of living be vigorous and will come up with less mess to encounter. If a family has a little number of members, they can easily resolve a problem that they will encounter. Small families are better than big families in the way that parents’ financial concerns are minimalized and they can spend more time with their children. In addition, sibling rivalry is less likely to happen. These are just some of the things why small families are better than big families.
