Grizzly I had been sitting on my chair by the white table, with all my homework on it. When my sister ,Cassidy, came into the room, “ what are you doing?” she asked. “ My memoir for class,” I answered. “Oh I remember when I had to do that, I did it on Grizzly and all the memories we had,” she said. “Really well I am doing it on the death of Grizzly” I said. A second later it occurred to me and I said “wait Cassidy, do you think that I could see your memoir, so I could see if I missed anything?” She nodded her head, went to grab it. While grabbing it, she started telling how she found him dead, and I could see that she was on the verge of tears. It was a typical day, my sister and I just came back from school, when she decided to go feed the dogs. She started …show more content…
walking towards the door in the dining room, and when she open the door, she knew something was wrong. When she went outside into the garage and she smelled an odd odor. Then she saw it. She saw Maze smelling Grizzly and flies all around them. She remember that in that moment she knew that he had passed away. I remember that I went to go and look for her after she did not come back in for a while. The garage door was open and I found it strange that the dogs were not barking like they usually did. When I saw him, I thought that he was sleeping. It was not until I saw my sister and all her tears that I realized that he was actually dead.. Looking back at it now, I was so naive. After a couple of minutes of me standing there I remember hoping that this wasn’t real that this was just a dream. It was not until later that I realized that I did not cry. I was sad but I just could not cry. I don’t know why, I guess I was in shock. We had a funeral for him and I remember writing a letter for Grizzly. The letter, had a picture that I drew of our family my mom, my dad, my sisters,my other dog, grizzly, and me. I remember just sitting there and writing the letter about how I wished he was still alive. When either I or my sister would get sad I remember that my parents would sit by us and tell us that “Grizzly wanted to be alone when he died he didn’t want us to shed tears for him”.
My uncle Jp came over that day and helped my dad dig the grave and place Grizzly into the grave. It was a sad day for everyone, we all miss him and wish the him the best. Maze ,my other dog, kept on sitting by the door, the door were Grizzly would usually come out through and play with him. I think Maze did that because Grizzly and him were like best friends and they would always be play together. It took Maze a couple of months to realize that Grizzly was no longer with us. I remember him and Grizzly would just lay there together and they would get along really well. I also remember when Grizzly had one of his last surgeries Maze kept him company inside this playpen my parents had built him. Maze was just a puppy when this happened and he was so eager to play with Grizzly that he got his head stuck in one of the holes in the playpen. I remember this being really funny because my dad had to get butter to get his head out, I kept on laughing and even to this day I have a smile on my face when I think about
it. I have a lot of good and bad memories from both of my dogs. I am happy to have the memories I have of Grizzly. It is important to keep important memories close, but also we shouldn’t let them rule our present or future.
grizzly bears prefered habitat is deserted rivers, wild mountains, and thick and dense forest. Grizzly bears are majestic symbols of the wild. Bears live in and use a variety of habitat types, playing important roles in each one. This makes them an “umbrella species,” meaning that when we protect them and their habitat we also protect many species. Grizzly bears can also help ecosystems by distributing seeds and nutrients through their scat, and occasionally regulating ungulate populations.
In the novel, Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden, Niska, Xavier’s aunt, makes reference to a story during her youth. This story took place during the winter and highlighted periods of starvation among Niska’s tribe because of the lack of ideal food resources. As starvation became a prolonged condition and desperation levels heightened, the tribe’s hunters brought back a black bear. Niska’s father, the leader of her tribe was disturbed as he associated the bear as man’s “brother.”
She fixed both of her hands so they were gripped on my window and she was trying to push it down and stick her face in it. She was mad but then said this: “Why are you trying to find this dog??” We replied to her and summed up what had happened, quickly. Her response was, “Why don’t you try to go find the owners?” We wanted to shake our heads and say to her, “What do you think we were doing?” but instead we let her talk. The last thing she said was, “Okay, girls, have a nice day and she walked away.” We were so shocked and confused at what just had happened. I sped off while I could get away. I didn’t want her to come back to the car and start something
Sex- Based Migration in Black Bears (Ursus americanus) Introduction: Ursus americanus, the American black bear is the most common of the world’s bear species, about up to twelve times more abundant than grizzly or brown bears. They usually occupy forested areas but their habitats are highly variable— from the Louisiana Bayou to the Labrador Tundra, and the Northwestern rain forests in between. (Wilson & Ruff, 1999) American black bears are hunted legally seasonally due to their widespread population and distribution.
It was the middle of October, and it was finally time for my long awaited moose hunt. I have waited ever since I was a little girl for this opportunity, and it was finally here. So, my father and I packed up our stuff and left the warmth of Phoenix. We were leaving the "Valley of the Sun" and headed for a place called Wyoming. After two days and fourteen long hours of driving, we made it to our hunting unit.
Documentary films can be presented in many ways, with filmmakers blurring the lines of film styles to create an individual piece. When analyzing documentaries, the truthfulness in which the subject or argument is presented can easily be questioned. The authenticity of an argument can be a difficult aspect to successfully showcase in a film. By repeatedly watching the assigned scenes of Grizzly Man, it is clear that the appearance of truth within the scenes comes into question. The method in which these scenes are directed and shot, is in direct relation to the way Herzog wants the audience to interpret them. Therefore, Herzog has complete
Play time is officially over. We carry each tired puppy to a big box my dad had made that is full of straw and sitting in our living room. We like to keep the puppies inside at night so they do not freeze outside when it becomes cool when the sun goes down. My dad goes to retrieve Remmy and she runs into the living room and hops in the box to be with her family. My dad always brings back a dog treat from the utility room to give to Remmy because she is such a good mother to them and she can never get enough
“Yeah,” I told him too quiet to hear. BANG!!!!! Show me how you are shooting Ouch I thought, my ear hurts. I could see everything as it had turned gray. I could barely hear anything. The bear ran off toward the west to our marsh, ‘the swamp’. Everything then got silent.
My favorite time I have spent with my Paw Paw would have to be back in 2009 when he taught me how to tie my shoe. I remember when I first learned how to do it I did it at least one hundred times straight. I was so happy I called just about everyone I knew to tell them what I could do. I must have showed my mom and dad about fifty times! That day was one of the best days of my life and I will never forget that, thanks Paw
The moon covered with dark clouds as the remaining portion of the night drifted away, the gentle wind had settled down while the dewy frost settled so effortlessly onto the ground. Ultimately, the sun extended from the peak of the mountains gradually making its way to the forest across the horizon and further within the thicket as the birds began to chirp songs of joy for the new day. Thereupon, the sun had made its way into the eyes of the exhausted timber wolf lying upon the cool damp ground awakening her. Furthermore, the female let out a whining yawn, thus stretching her jaws wide displaying her long pearly white teeth before arising from her temporary home, prolonged with another large stretch while extended her sharp brown claws in the soft soil. The female gazed into the distance as she effortlessly rose and began to push herself forward with her long legs. Subsequently, the timber wolf knew that without food; that she would not progress as quickly. She scurried the area using her long snout to obtain information into her olfactory senses, at last, a rabbit appeared out of the thicket. Effortlessly, the female scurried after it before snapping the creature into her powerful jaws executing a meal that she longed prior to the morning. She began plucking the fur off of the dead creature, coating herself with blood as she ate her only meal in several days. Thus, this creature would not go to waste as the female finished her meal quickly. As a result of her satistisfaction from the rabbit; she hurried off through the remaining portion of the forest moving quickly and
One day, a few people named Lei, Logan, Bob, Billy, Gary, and Brogan went on a big hunting trip for three days. They grabbed their guns and went out the door.
The mom, already expecting these questions (because they were once some of her own) had answers prepared but since it was getting late she said, “Now kids, those are stories I’ll share another night” as she was walking out the door.
Besides seeing his dead body, which did not look like him at all, almost everyone who attended the wake laughed hysterically at least once. It was a weird balance of tears, laughter, and reminiscing. My dad’s cousins all laughed at a picture where they lifted my grandfather in a chair during my aunt and uncle’s wedding. Then my grandmother, who was a wreck, stopped crying after a person who bought my grandfather’s plants told her a story that she had never heard before. The man told the story in Italian so I do not know what he said, but it was nice to hear her laugh because I had not heard it in a
"This was definitely an awesome experience for me." I thought to myself. "I really hope that I can do it again."
It was looking like a long day and my cousins had come around for something but I couldn’t be bothered to think why. I was sitting on my black reptile looking sofa as my cousin Sherjeel ca...
