Good evening, fellow Americans:
Tonight I want to talk to you on a subject of deep concerns to all Americans and to many people in all parts of the world… the war in Vietnam.
It’s January 23, 1973, and my message is to all the citizens of the United States. I just want to stand here today and talk to you on agreeing with bringing our troops back home. Ending the war, and making peace in Vietnam wouldn’t be great for just them, but everyone in America as well.
