The good life for every individual is always different. Some people want personal fantasies like exotic cars, large houses, and enormous piles of money; others have dreams of world changing matters such as world peace and food for everyone. For me, it is much like the rest of the people in the world. My good life would consist of unbelievable amounts of money, personal freedom, and a nice little family. I would start off with money simply because the other two aspects would be even better if I had colossal sums of cash. Money just opens up the door for tons of opportunities, but first you have to obtain the money. I would have to go to college and gain my degree in law, and then start my own law firm in a sizeable city in which my business would thrive. Once I have my business under control, I would then hire other lawyers for my firm and keep an incoming revenue for myself because I have to be able to sustain the money flow. Obtaining the sums of money would be my first step in venturing for the perfect life. …show more content…
Freedom an incredibly major key in having the good life for me. Personal freedom is being able to go wherever and do whatever you want whenever you want. This is sort of achieved by having money and being your own boss. If you have money, you can travel wherever you want and never worry about the price; if you are your own boss, no one can tell you what you can do because you are self-employed. Personal freedom is just an amazing thing to be able to have because it allows you to be able to see and explore the world. It just allows for a ton of room for happiness, which is what everyone wants at the end of the
God has given us as human beings free will. Although if we make choices based on our own free will we must be willing to take the responsibility for the effects that our decisions have on ourselves, on the people around us, and on society itself. Freedom, I believe, is the way in which people live or behave without others annoying or interfering in his or her affairs. People should benefit from freedom, equality and justice. Absolute freedom is sometimes very dangerous and may destroy the basic principles of the society. A lot of people believe that freedom means doing whatever you want, whenever you want.
Everyone desires to live a good life and people are always searching for ways to do so. In my case, by moving to the United States, I now have the opportunity to live a good life, but my definition differs from everyone else’s. I believe that living a good life means getting a good education, working hard, family support, willing to adapt new environment, having a leader, and becoming a self-made individual.
In a world where every individual desires to acquire money, prosper, and make a life for themselves nevertheless no part of my being aspires any of it. My life's work wants nothing more than to help other people because at the end of the day, my long list of people I have helped will be worth more than your money. The way I grew up, I would have been the same way as everyone else, but it was with the experiences I have gone through along with my favorite movie, book, quote, historical figure, and my very own personal hero which all single handedly helped mold me to the person I am glad to be today.
In conclusion, freedom is having power to inflict a positive change on the world. The ability to be yourself and not change for anyone. The right to choose who rules and who doesn’t rule. Having a chance to get out there and show the world what your all about and who you really are. These are all definitions of freedom and what it truly means to be
After all that you could settle in a degree that could get you the dream job that can get you to be a decent income . But to get the money you have to work hard in life to make it possible.People today look for easy ways to get rich like “winning the on lucrative game shows or buying a lucky lottery ticket. Some people have also attempted to win millions of dollars in lawsuits in their pursuits”(Matthew Warshauer). To me to achieve the American Dream at being wealthy is to work hard in school. Money plays a big part in today's society ,but without money the American Dream would no longer exist.
The idea of justice although obvious for philosophers like Locke, Rousseau, and John Rawls, proves itself to be a labyrinthine issue for Americans; nevertheless, ones thing is clear: the people are guaranteed the ability to pursue happiness. Sometimes searching for American equity juxtaposes the American Dream to the pursuit of happiness with a paralytic justice. However, justice in all forms plays a part through the governments duty; who does the government serve and protect? Despite this, opportunity continues to play a major role in correlation to the hopes and aspirations of many Americans; what freedoms to pursue happiness would Americans receive if they were striped of their rights?
The freedom has provided me to go to places faster. For example, I like to go to the mall in New Philadelphia. I know for a fact that it would take over an hour close to two hours to walk to the mall. Now, if I would have my license the amount of time would be reduced immensely. With freedom, there
For some, happiness is all that matters. Happiness is achieved in many ways, and it doesn’t always involve money. There are many things that contribute to making a person feel happy and successful. One can feel successful without a lot of money at all. For example, feeling loved is something that makes everyone happy. Many believe that without love life is not thoroughly complete, thus never truly achieving success. Ones line of work can also affect how happy he is. Some feel that it is more important to enjoy work and get less money than it is to hate work and get paid more. Another factor in achieving psychological success is ones ability to enjoy what life gives him. There are many qualities of life that are overlooked. Everyone is dealt family and it is important to value that.
We see images in movies or in TV shows that are appealing. We think that with money, all of our tribulations will wash away. That’s why people go to work, buy lottery tickets, or even gamble. We want what society has told us, we want our whole lives and we are not fully satisfied with life until we achieve these goals. Society builds this perfect image in our heads of what happiness is supposed to look like, and today’s modern technologies and our upbringings are significantly influenced by it.
Every 26 seconds one of our kids drops out of high school, that's 1.3 million students each year. The main reason for dropping out, the failure to succeed. Society puts an insurmountable amount of pressure on these kids to succeed, however this can actually be extremely detrimental to the students and children.
This return us to the question of how much consideration you should give to money when making life choices to achieve the universal goal of happiness. And the answer is you should make choices that will give you enough money to live comfortably and allow you to focus on other factors that contribute to your happiness, such as interpersonal relationships and generosity towards others. And you should do this with the understanding that more money does not necessary result in happiness, although it does help, if spent in the right way.
Everyone has their own outlook on life. Most people feel like money and success brings them happiness, while others think love is all they need. “For no age is too early or too late for the health of the soul” (Epicurus). Our philosophies change over time as we grow older and wiser. As a child I thought the world was full of so much happiness, love, peace and joy. Once I grew older my philosophy became clear that there is more to life than just living. In the world today it is best to have something that makes you look forward to the next day. Like family, friends, and personal goals. Being able to have overall balance of happiness, pain and the existence of God, is my guide for living.
But in this debate, one question still raises its head - What is happiness? Happiness is not actually leading a luxurious life, but the luxury of living a life. Happiness is not actually about expanding your business, but it lies in expanding the horizons of life. Happiness is not having a meal in the most famous restaurant, but having it with your most beloved family. It does not lie in attending honorable parties, but to attend a party with honor.
My ideal future would be being able to travel to places where I’ve been as well as to places where I haven’t been. I’d imagine myself being happy because I’d have everything I’ve ever wanted. Getting married, buying a house- even if it were a small house with only a few bedrooms in a quiet neighbourhood. After buying a house(,) I’d have a child so that I could spoil them the way my parents spoiled me. In my ideal future(,) I would work at home so that I could be able to spend time with my family I would be my own boss. On my spare time that I would have I would start a an animal shelter one in a foreign country I would help stray animals have a home, people who can not afford to have pets could come play with dogs and cats as well as adopt them. I’d also keep myself entertained by being activite and having my own gymnastics gym.
According to Hutchison (2015), “religion is symbolic patterns that consists of values, beliefs, behaviors and experiences” (p. 184). I personal conceptualize spirituality as a vital role in my life that helps me during a time of sickness, forgiveness, and needed guidance. Spirituality helps guide me throughout life during the difficult times I have encountered. Spirituality impacts my life in positive ways that influence and regulate my behavior and health. Health is very important to me; I believe the spirit can heal a person from their sickness. It seems that the spirit heals me every time I pray to be healed from sickness. The spirit gives me strength at a time of weakness. When I feel at my lowest point in life I call on the spirit to pick
