God the Almighty “In the beginning God created the heavens and earth” (Genesis 1:1 NIV). Christianity is one of the largest religions in world. Over 2.2 billion people claim to be of the Christian faith (Johnson, 2016). Christianity is based on God and his creation, his son Jesus who gave his life for the sins of mankind, and through him one can obtain eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. God is the almighty. He is the creator of all creation. For Christians, God is the ultimate reality (“Lecture 2,” 2016). This means that God has power over everything, he is the sovereign. Creation took six days and God rested on seventh day. God existed before creation was even made. God created the earth and everything in it. “God created …show more content…
God could not let the unholy into his kingdom, without become holy again. God then sent his son to save the world from all sins. Jesus is the son of God in the flesh form, this told to us in the scripture John 3:16 “for God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and her husband Joseph. He is the second person in the trinity “The Son”. The mission of Jesus was to teach us to ways of God and guide us back. Jesus was preaching the good news to all and the good news was the Kingdom of God (DiVincenzo, 2015). Into order to gain entrance to heaven, we all must be cleansed of our sins. Jesus was crucified on the cross so that our sins would be wiped clean and we could have another chance of eternal life with the Lord. By living the Christian life, one can know that they will spend enteral life with God in the Kingdom of Heaven. Christianity can be confusing also and hard to believe in. Some may feel that they need to see or hear the works of God to believe in him. Having faith though is believing in the unseen. God formed mankind in his image so that we can have some if his characteristics, Christians need to apply these characteristics in their daily life. Living the Christian lifestyle can reason and think the way God would want. We need to look at our own actions and say to ourselves “Was that good” or “Was that bad” (Miller,
Jesus Christ became human and walked with men and women. The Creator of heaven and earth became a creature and entered the creation that he made into existence. God made himself known so humanity could have the most basic understanding of who he was and Christ there would be no Christianity. Jesus taught mankind a high view of Scripture and inspired his followers and others to uphold it as God’s Word. (A Starting Point for Wisdom by Jason Hiles and Anna Faith
With each religion comes things to learn and understand. Some things are easy to grasp onto, while others can be impossible to comprehend. Why was it necessary for Jesus to be human? How did Jesus overcome the most powerful of human leaders? Why did God send His only son for us? In the book On the Incarnation by Athanasius, these questions are thoroughly explained. Beginning with the creation of man, God promised to protect and care for us. This promise He fulfills through Jesus His son.
God is the great I am. He is holy and the creator of all things. He provided the ten commandments (Exodus 20) with the first one that started out as “I am the Lord your God” (Iozzio, 2006). He created mankind and
The creation of the orderly world reveals God is present in a loving, loyal, all-knowingly, and powerful way. He provided a world for mankind to reign on, as they worship and praise the Lord. Although Christians are required to embrace the natural world we live in, they must not misconstrue that everything around us is Godly. God is distinct and Christians must submit to only him.
He is God incarnate who became flesh to take away the sins of the world. He was a poor servant, an obedient child who grew up with wisdom and understanding and became man so that the Word became flesh to dwell among humanity (Weaver, 2014). For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus’ ministry was to preach and teach about the Kingdom Of Heaven and these teachings are the revelations that mankind are to live by in order to get into Heaven and find salvation (DiVincenzo, 2015). The teaching about the Kingdom was for God to restore his creation into the right relationship with himself (DiVincenzo, 2015). This was established so that he and his people can be together in peace, justice, and truth (DiVincenzo, 2015). This identity of Jesus and the work that he did on earth is important to the Christian worldview because it shows that God fulfilled his promise of the Messiah to save the world and it also fulfilled the scripture of the one that was to come. This is an essential element to the beliefs as a

According to a Christian, there is one true God, and he revealed Himself through the Holy trinity, which is made up of three people; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They also believe that God alone created the world and everything that encompasses it from nothing in six days. They believe that the world was good until Adam sinned against God, and now all people are born into sin. They believe that God sent his only son Jesus to save the world from sin and that Jesus died for all their sins and rose from the dead. They believe that the Holy bible is the sacred word before and after Jesus’s time and that they should live by it to please God and thank him for his son. They believe that people are saved by faith through the grace of Jesus Christ.

Christianity is the world’s most prominent religion, with more than six billion people practicing worldwide. Although Christianity has come to dominate the world of religion, it began as a small and mysterious cult in Ancient Rome. Small, and poorly understood, Christianity soon became an enemy of Rome, marked with persecution, martyrdom, and murder. By the end of the third century CE, tens of thousands of Christians had been arrested and killed for their beliefs.
Christianity has the largest population worldwide and has been able to continue to develop over the centuries. “Christianity is the name given to a religion based on the first century CE life and ministry of Jesus”. His followers claimed Jesus to be “The Jewish Messiah”, a person sent to the people of Israel to bring salvation and hope. However, during the first century, Christianity spread throughout the regions controlled by the Roman Empire and as Jesus’ followers began to separate from Judaism they established this living religion. Thus, the core foundation of Christianity is based on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, which can be found today in the Bible.

He taught phenomenal and meaningful lessons that changed many hearts and caused people to accept Jesus as their Lord. Jesus Christ is the life of Christianity; the Word of God in flesh. His life, his ministry, and his crucifixion where prophesied long before he was born and Christians believe that they were all fulfilled. He had so much love for human kind that he came to earth to die for the sins of the people, so that their souls would be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible testifies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who taught memorable life lessons and performed astonishing miracles during his ministry.
The Kingdom of God is a new creation, “full of God’s grace, and creation’s destiny being fulfilled” (Powell, 2008, pp. 174). It is the hope and redemption for Israel. The preaching of the Good News embodies the Kingdom of God (Powell, 2008, pp. 175). Jesus preached the affirmation that Israel was God’s elect people, and that He came to bring forth God’s grace and mercy to the world. In addition, the Kingdom of God brought forth holiness, the fulfillment of the prophecy’s from the Old Testament Prophets, the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the fulfillment of the Messianic King, God’s rule over sin, and the opportunity for Israel to turn away from their wickedness and choose to be faithful and obedient to God (Powell, 2008, pp. 175-183).
