The movie Shattered Glass is a 2003 American Drama film written and directed by Billy Ray. The screen play is based on the 1998 Vanity Fair article by H.G Bissinger. It is a true life drama centered on Steven Glass, who was a journalist at The New Republic and his steep fall when his 27 out of 41 of his articles were proven to be false. The movie highlights the political aspects of journalism and encompasses the processes that lead to the publishing of articles in magazines. At the end of the movie I must say I was taken aback on how the events revolved and took a whole different twist; I certainly didn’t see that coming. I had two major opinions when I was through with the movie and they would be discussed in detail below.

It is also used to make new discoveries in space. Nasa has made a device to catch solar winds and possible particles that are contained in the solar winds to help understand our sun better. This is a great way to make new discoveries and also for us to understand the limits of metallic glass. It is called Project Genesis. This project was launched and came back to earth unharmed but unfortunately while it was falling through the sky, inside the atmosphere, no parachute came out as planned and the device crash-landed in the deserts of Utah in 2004. This brought samples to learn more about the universe and our specific solar system. Most of the collectors, which were made from different metal alloys, were shattered because of their thickness. Fortunately, the particles were not above the metal alloys, but they were beneath the surface so it was still possible to collect data or proof to our existence and how the big bang happened.
