Germanium is an element on the periodic table. It is atomic number is 32. Germanium atomic weight 72.64; germanium is pounced as “jer-may-ni-em”. It is name is named after the country Germany. Symbol for this element “GE” on the periodic table. Germanium is a type of hard luster. It is structure is a diamond like crystalline in a grayish-white metallic color. It is a part of the carbon group. Germanium was discovered in 1886 by Clemens Winkler. Mr. Winkler was a German chemist. He was born in December 26, 1838 in Freiburg, Germany. Clemen passed away on October 8th, 1904. There are two main properties for germanium. One of them is physical properties. Physical properties make the metal break quite easily than regular metals. The conductors
In the rough and tropical island of Papua New Guinea, lived an exceptional aggregation of individuals called, The Gebusi. In the 1980's, The Gebusi tribe was anything besides up to date and acculturated. The Gebusi had their own particular singular and special customs and conventions that they rehearsed and accompanied. The Gebusi tribe took part in custom homosexuality, divination or witchcraft was exceedingly respected and polished, and they partook in particular sister-trade relational unions. By 1998-99, The Gebusi tribe had made another lifestyle. The Gebusi had gotten accustomed with new social convictions, modernization due to “western ways” that had changed their lives until the end of time especially changing their ways and view on gender roles and sexuality.
Holmium is a bright sliver colored lustrous metal and is malleable causing it to be very soft. On the other hand for chemical properties holmium is stable at room temperature and dry air. When it is cooled or heated, or placed in moist air, it tends to become more reactive/oxidized. This causes holmium like most earth metals to also be dissolvable in acids and to have a low acute toxic rating. Finally environmentally holmium doesn't cause any damage or threats to plants and
The man behind a world-famous supercar name - Christian Von Koenigsegg meets with a well-known TV face - Jay Leno in Laurens, South Carolina. There was only ONE reason for their meeting (see what I did there?). They met to try out this masterpiece: Koenigsegg ONE:1, a limited production megacar; only 7 were made (including one prototype). With this megacar, Koenigsegg achieved something that many supercar manufacturers can only dream off: a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio! Jay Leno says that with this power-to-weigh ratio ONE:1 feels like a go-kart on a track and when you hit the throttle it goes like a lunatic. The custom-made Michelin Cup Tires desperately stick to the surface as the powerful, redesigned 5.0-liter V8 pushes the car to its limits.
Iron comes from the Latin word ferrum. From ferrum its symbol became Fe. The atomic number of iron is 26, and its atomic weight is 55.845. Iron is a magnetic, bendable, shiny white metallic element.
I am going to discuss about the element known as gold in my assignment. To describe the element gold in simple terms, I can only say that it is an element (chemical element). This element is denoted by the symbol Au. It has an atomic number of seventy nine (79). I will describe quite a number of things concerning gold as an element. To begin with is:
Gold is a natural element found in our world [5]. It is a metallic and non-toxic element that has unique chemical and physical properties [2, 5]. Gold has the symbol Au and it has the atomic number 79 which means the number of protons and electrons is also 79 and it has 118 neutrons [5]. It has existed since 3000 BC and it still exists in the world today [4, 5]. Gold is one of the oldest and most used metals in our world [1, 4]. It has positive and negative effects that affect our world and our environment [1]. Gold is used in many things that help our future to advance more in every way [1].
The Periodic Table of Elements is commonly used today when studying elements. This table’s history begins in ancient times when Greek scientists first started discovering different elements. Over the years, many different forms of the periodic table have been made which set the basis for the modern table we use today. This table includes over 100 elements and are arranged by groups and periods. Groups being vertical columns and periods being horizontal columns. With all of the research conducted over the years and the organization of this table, it is easy to use when needed.
Gallium is a chemical element with the symbol Ga. Gallium is a soft silvery blue at standard temperature and pressure, it's a brittle solid at low temperature. Gallium is a non-toxic chemical for humans, gallium is used to make a thermometer. most of us use gallium for an everyday thing, they are used to make mobile phones, optoelectronics, solar panels, and LEDs. It is used for mining a mining tool, the thing they mind for with gallium is aluminum and zinc.
Niobium is a metal element. The elemental properties of Niobium are that is a ductile metal, it has a grey color, with a lustrous shine.
Later the germanium was replaced with silicon (ward). This allowed improved performance at higher temperatures (ward). The silicon necessary to work with was not developed until world war two (ward).
Scientists have discovered a new organ now called the interstitium, (An interstitial space within a tissue or organ, specifically the tissue between the pulmonary alveoli and the bloodstream. It is a series of connected, fluid-filled spaces found under skin as well as throughout the gut, lungs, blood vessels and muscles) it plays a critical role in how many tissues and other organs do their jobs.
In the periodic table Beryllium is the first element in the second group. The chemical symbol is Be. Beryllium is an Alkaline earth-metal which means that Beryllium is really reactive but not as reactive as the Alkaline metals which is the first group. Beryllium has a melting point of 1287 degrees celsius and a boiling point of 2468 degrees celsius. In 1797 Nicholas Louis Vauquelin founded Beryllium. The density of Beryllium is 1.85. Beryllium is between Lithium and Boron. Beryllium is a shiny, steel gray, and metal that can be used for missiles, high-speed aircraft, spacecraft, and communication satellites. When used as an alloying agent in Beryllium copper beryllium can be used as a spring or a spot-welding electrode and non-sparking tool.
Gold has been discovered on every continent on earth. Gold is a yellow precious metal, the chemical element of atomic number 79, valued especially for use in jewelry and decoration, and to guarantee the value currencies. Gold is malleable and shiny, making it a good metalworking material. Also, gold is considered to be a transition metal. Transition metals are unique because they can bond with others elements using not just their outermost shell of electrons (the negatively charged particles that whirl around the nucleus), but also the outermost two shells. This happens because a large number of electrons in transition metals interferes with the usual orderly sorting of electrons into shells around the nucleus.
