Animal Farm is a fairy tale by George Orwell, he used fairy tale in order to expose the evils of totalitarianism and it also allows the reader to deduce the dangers posed by totalitarian governments. Benjamin is a donkey, who thinks that life will always be painful and difficult. He understands what’s going on in the animal farm, pig’s corruption and transformation of Animal farm into a totalitarian state. But, he doesn’t do anything to stop it. My aim is to study Benjamin’s emotions over the pig’s rule in Animal Farm. This will be done through a speech that is held at the farm after Boxer was killed. As speeches are one sided(usually), they are a great way to portray one’s emotions on a specific object, here the object can be an individual, an event or a situation. In order to study Benjamin’s emotions on the pigs rule I think that speech is the best way to investigate as it focuses only on his views and emotions. The targeted audience for this speech are the animals in the animal farm. The aim of the speech is to persuade the animals in the animal farm to rebel against the Napoleon and other pigs. As the animals in the animal farm are uneducated, which means that my language in the speech is going to be straightforward.

After Boxer’s lung collapses, the pigs mention that Boxer is going to be taken to a veterinary hospital for surgery. But, in reality, he was taken to horse slaughter place. I found out the truth on the van which Boxer was taken, it was written “Horse Slaughterer and Glue Boiler" on the side of the van. This is the worst thing that the pigs have ever done in Animal Farm. The pigs have killed another animal, which means they have broken the seven commandments of Old Major. These pigs have betrayed the principles of the rebellion over and over again.
