It is usually easy for people to talk about their strengths, a person should think highly of themselves and would have no problem boasting of skill or previous achievements. When it comes to weaknesses that’s when a person has to really think because no one wants to think of the negative qualities about themselves. Although sometimes in life things don’t go as planned and as perfect as it sounds everyday cannot be sunshine and rainbows. It rains, thunders, hails, and even floods but this doesn’t mean that all hope is lost. As humans we have a natural instinct to survive we adapt and we learn and move on. Geology was our last class and it was the day we got to examine sedimentary rocks with microscopes. It had almost seemed as if nothing was wrong and everyone was having fun no name calling, or fighting, or anything it seemed like a great end to such a bad day. I cheered up Xavier as much as I could and we even started making fun of the upperclassman as we walked towards the bus. The bus driver wasn’t in sight but it was usual for him to step off for a break so we proceeded to the back laughing and giggling as we found our seats. Suddenly 4 upperclassman entered the bus spotting us immediately they shouted “what’s those two kids doing in our seats”. A loud crash came from the bag as they opened it up to see what made the sound his pottery was destroyed only leaving a rainbow of pieces all over the floor. Laughing the bullies taunted him and began making fun of him for his creation. I sat and watched knowing that I should stand up for my friend but not having the courage to do so. A moral dilemma unwrapped in my mind but yet instead of speaking up I remained hidden only to watch my best friend be bullied and targeted. He broke slowly he began to cry the bus driver entered the bus and forced the bullies to get off. I tried to talk to Xavier but he refused to speak a word to me a situation I would soon come soon to regret became of the most critical points in my life today. Xavier transferred schools the following week leaving me in a place all alone which I soon began to call prison. The bullying didn’t stop there but a new principal was found and it did bring peace to the school after his new anti-bullying system was put into place but before I could know how much school has changed my family made the decision to move to New
