You surely know that Genetti’s prides itself in being the best it can possibly be within the hospitality service industry. Constantly striving to exceed customers’ expectations for maximized enjoyment, as a future employee; I fully understand that it is my responsibility to uphold these fundamental values everybody involved is so committed in achieving. Not only do I understand this fact, I am confident that I have all of the assets capable of carrying out the Genetti family’s original vision with great expertise. A relaxing setting and excellent food are an absolute must of course, but without …show more content…
It is imperative that everything goes smoothly, guaranteeing that every customer is content and satisfied. It is a skill that is difficult to master but with enough effort and quick thinking I am able to manage my time wisely to assure that everything is on track, even going so far as to help my fellow coworkers if need be. Organization/multitasking skills are a must when dealing with many people in a high pressured setting, which is something I have experience in …show more content…
Often, when this does happen it has the ability to cause unnecessary conflict, deteriorating good terms with other staff members. Potential fights that break loose as a result of horrible rumors affect may affect diners, ruining the light atmosphere. These types of actions display behaviors not befitting of any employee, let alone a Genetti’s employee. Improper work manners should be eliminated at all costs. I like to carry myself with professionalism and dignity, therefore strive to be a prime representation of what Genetti’s aims to
In the introduction, the author has done a good job engaging the audience with emotions, and painting a vivid scene of the seals being slaughtered. This essay does a good job of acknowledging the other point of views. This essay also has a good, clear sense of structure. The author has a strong thesis statement, that gave a clear indication of what the following paragraphs are about.
One key design principle of this establishment was of a casual sit-in dining restaurant opposed to being seated with a server and menus, a person must order from the front. This cuts down on the time it takes a family to wait, settle in, wait, and then order off or a menu. Also the restaurant is spacious and has a lot of seating allowing for a rush of people with no problem. Another key design that governed that effectiveness of this process what the way the kitchen was mostly exposed and in the front. If you were sitting close to the front you could watch your food be prepared. I’m sure the cooks feel the extra pressure being under the watchful eye of the people whom the food belongs to. Another design principle that governs the effectiveness of the process in Jason’s Deli is the menu itself. The menu is pretty diverse but the one common denominator is that the food is recognized as healthy and made from the freshest ingredients possible. Finally I would add the self-servicing drink station is another key design principle because this cuts down on the time it take to wait for a waitress for a drink refill (if this were a formal restaurant).
Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
A Humboldt County judge ruled today there was enough evidence for Marcia Kitchen to stand trial for her alleged role in a 2016 fatal hit-and-run that left her daughter and daughter’s friend dead.
“Justice cannot be for one side alone, but must be for both” (Roosevelt). The goal of America’s legal system as we know it is that everyone is given an equal opportunity to stick up for what they may or may not have done, as described by former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Also this is what officials strive for, it is not always the case. Facts can be skewed, distorted, or misrepresented to make one side seem to be guilty without a doubt and to make the other side seem as if they have done nothing wrong. The Crucible by Arthur Miller begins and ends with one-sided accusations of witchcraft. It all results from a group of girls who had been dancing in the woods. After two fall sick, the accusations begin. The girls who were dancing, especially Abigail Williams begin blaming others to look less guilty themselves. Accusations are flying left and right so that soon, hundreds are in jail and over a dozen are executed. Abby’s main goal is to get rid of Elizabeth Proctor, so she can be with John Proctor, a man she previously had an affair with. However, John is not interested in Abby and his
However ,the hauntings stopped once an old friend of Sethe’s from Sweet Home, Paul D, shows up on her doorstep one afternoon. The life Paul D has in mind is disrupted as the the ladies begin to put together connections that Beloved just might be the baby who is murdered in the past. Sethe and Denver become attached to Beloved because of her absence from their life for so long. However, Beloved is only obsessed with the thought
Our close family and friends are coming to watch Herndon Cheer this Wednesday and Saturday. She spoke to us about having her drive her home, but if it is also a possibility that we can drive her there on either both days or just one of them, that would be great.
Witch hunts” constantly reoccur throughout history - in 1600s, 1953 and in 2014. Good morning, fellow directors. Today, I want to demonstrate that “the crucible” by Arthur Miller in 1953 is not just a play for 1953, but a play that relates to any period of time, notably to our modern society. The crucible is an allegory of 1953 McCarthyism and social chaos of the time. Today’s government manipulated the truth creates the fear of “outlawed bikies gangs” similar to 1692 theocratic government creates fear of witches and McCarthy’s communist terror. Unfortunately, the truth is never clear cut, but skewed, twisted and sculpted lies that shockingly benefit a small governing body and its ideologies. Therefore, ‘The Crucible’ is a worthwhile play to be shown in Queensland Theatre as it reminds us of an invaluable lesson and could prevent the same foolish action reoccurring on future generations. The play intertwines with significant themes such as lies, truth, power, stereotypes and mass hysteria which are pivotal dynamics in today’s society.
Poe’s Montresor from “The Cask of Amontillado” is a deeply complex individual. Montresor is vengeful, seeking to get back at an enemy. He is insane and sadistic, causing pain and suffering to Fortunato for his own amusement. He is calm and logical, completely fooling Fortunato and accomplishing what he set out to do in an effective way. Montresor is assuming, taking judgement into his own hands. Finally, Montresor has a conscience. At first glance Montresor can appear to be fairly flat, just a man executing revenge on an enemy, but there is much more to him than that.
Mexico was unable to conquer the southern part of the United States due to its political instability, lack of resources, and the economic and social injustices on Anglo Americans views on Mexican presence in the area. Although Mexico did not conquer the area that is both known to be southwestern United States or northern Mexico, it should be referred to as “Occupied Mexico” because of the influence that Mexico had on this area and their resistance to being driven out of the American southwest. Rudy Acuña presents an accurate claim that southwestern United States; such as Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California, once belonged to Mexico because of its effect and presence in these current states of the United States. The way Anglo Americans
When we were talking about vegetarianism the time right before Thanksgiving break many arguments were put forth for the idea. The one that stuck to me the most was the arguments made by Tom Regan. For the other arguments I thought about them but they did not have me think about what I eat. With Regan’s essay it was the first time I actually took the time and thought about what I eat and if it is immoral.
Baldwin talks about the fear a child (colored or white) will face in challenging the ideals that are created in favoritism of a white racist world. That in attempting to go against the normalized perceptions of this America, would only put the child on the path of destruction (Baldwin 27). Which is significant concept in the story, because of how Nelson addresses the first African American he perceives; simply as another man. Which contrasts to the language of his grandfather, when he questions Nelson about this individual on the train, when he asks, “what was that” (O’Connor 111). Problematically, Mr. Head identifies the individual not as a man, but as the other.
This particular intelligence squared debate was a debate of four people in two teams of two that debated whether free speech was threatened on college campuses. Sean Harper, an executive director of the Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education at the University of Pennsylvania, argued on the side of free speech isn’t threatened on campus. His overall arguments, and points were the weakest out of all the debaters. Harper argues that in all his years of working at many universities, he has never seen a written institutional policy that restricts student’s freedom of speech. Contrary to his position in the debate, Harper claims student’s freedom of speech is suppressed by remarks of other professors, or staff at universities.
The incentives that the narrator named Montresor had to plot revenge against Fortunato were not justified. Montresor only insinuated through a vague description that Fortunato had “hurt him a thousand times and he suffered quietly, until he laughed at the Montresor name”. This was stated in the first few paragraphs of the story. Montresor was able to stay vague of the pain Fortunato had caused him and not provided detail due to the fact that he played the first-person narrator. This can provide heavy bias and can be seen as an unreliable source.
