The concept of the week was mobility. Mobility is the ability to be moved easily. The concept was knowing how patient’s move from place to place and knowing how to help and support the patient with nursing knowledge. To know how mobile, the patient is, the nurse needs to perform a mobility assessment of the patient and it is also the nurse responsibility to promote and prevent mobility (Crisp, Taylor, Douglas & Rebeiro, 2013).

Ward 4 – General medicine ha a multidisciplinary team that works with different health professionals. They have healthcare workers that help the nursing staffs while the house surgeons and registrars helps the consultant surgeon of the ward (Taranaki District Base Hospital, [TDBH] 2013).
