Educating the future generation is very important the future generation to receive a good education. It very important for the future will become our care givers when we are old and sick. Children will need a steady education to become someone great in the future. Public schools do not have a high standard of education. School funding for public schools do not meet the standard it 's supposed to. Teachers are not paid enough and they just get paid just enough to get by in life. We live in a society where we are surrounded by people telling us that school/education and being educated is the only way to succeed. However, the school system is not up to the standards we want it to uphold. There are three issues we discuss the most which are the government, the student, and the teacher. In John Taylor Gatto 's essay “Against School”, we see the inside perspective of the educational system from the view of a teacher. In “I Just Wanna Be Average”, an essay written by Mike Rose, we hear a student 's experience of being in a vocational class in the lower level class in the educational system when he was supposed to be in the higher class. Both Gatto and Rose give their opinions on how the educational system is falling apart. I believe that the aim of education is to create well-rounded citizens in a democratic society. This means that students are not only being taught just the academic standards by also being taught social skills. The students will be able to be a citizen that will improve their society and be a person who is diverse and who is open to the differences in people. With this comes a couple of barriers, such as the desire to learn new things in both teachers and students in the classroom is lacking and the worker-as-machine model.
Our education overall should be getting more money to make updates to school for example better technology, more extra curricular activities on school property, and new physical features like books etc.. Some people take elective classes they’ve never even taken before because as teenagers we like to try new things. For example if you wanna try cooking class then you try it and see if you like it then if you don’t you know not to take it again and move on. Someone who loves to play the guitar will definitely have a different talents than someone who is a gymnast. You can then try something new that way you don’t get stuck with a job you don’t like.

It would bring the thought to mind that education is just something that we use because we are forced into it. From a very young age we are drilled into our heads that we will get nowhere in life without first getting the proper education that we need and choosing a career path that will lead us into successfully supporting a family for the rest of our lives. The way we are brought into education as young children into adults can be both a gift and a curse. Education is a vital part of society. It serves the beneficial purpose of educating our children and getting them ready to be productive adults in today's society. But, the social institution of education is not without its problems. Continual efforts to modify and improve the system need to be made, if we are to reap the highest benefits that education has to offer to our children and our society as a whole.
“Charity sees the need, not the cause.” (German Proverb) Many people may question “What is charity?” According to Webster’s dictionary, Charity is defined as the benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity. Charity to me is significant because it gives you a feeling of inner satisfaction while helping out your community as well. If you have the capability, then you should be able to share it with those less fortunate. The community we live in has a huge influence on us personally – it fosters safety, responsibility and sustainability – so it is important that we take our community seriously for the greater good of humanity and for our own personal benefit.
