Freedom is something that is very complex. It is addressed in the book Animal Farm. In the book Animal Farm although the animals rebelled and were free of Mr. Jones, it is debatable if they are really free. The animals fight and some of them even die for it. Freedom is one of the things that attract people of all parts of the world to the U.S.A. Freedom plays a part in the everyday world. Freedom allows people to go to school. It allows people to go to work. Also it is the reason that people are able to start a family and have as many kids as they want. Once Old Major dies the animals become more violent and rebel. They are lead by two primary pigs, Napoleon and Snowball. Napoleon and Snowball disagree over every idea. This presents a problem because they need one leader, or two leaders that agree on something. So in the book, Snowball is ran off by Napoleon, which in return gives total control to Napoleon. With this power he can do whatever he wants, and one of them being the fact that he has cut rations except for himself and other pigs and dogs. Also he has animals killed. He has the animals confess first before having them killed so that he does not look like the bad guy. Also he does it to keep the animals from breaking away from the rebellion. Napoleon breaks laws whenever he wants and has Squealer change laws since there are not very many other animals that can read and or write. Also he takes stuff from other animals without asking and has the dogs to back him up and prevent rebellion in the rebellion. From the beginning of the book to the rebellion the animals are underfed.
