Chopin pioneered the idea of creating a true artistic form from technical exercises, making his etudes historically important. Each etude has its own musical story to tell even though they adhere to a basic principle as a means to train and refine the performer’s technique. They are not simply dry and repetitive exercises like etudes prior to Chopin. There’s emotion behind his etudes that transcends from technicality and mere note playing to a true virtuosic artistry that is executed with delicate finery. This new development of technical exercises is a feature of a persistent musical aspect in Romantic period repertoire. Overall these sets consisted of twenty seven total compositions known as etudes. Within these sets there are two separate collections consisted of twelve etudes known as Opus 10 and the other as Opus 25. The last set consisted of three and do not have opus numbers. These Etudes were revolutionary when they first appeared and set a foundation of a new system for technical piano playing. Nicknames were given for several of these works, but not by Chopin’s original creation of the Etudes. All twenty seven Etudes were published while Chopin was alive. Collection Opus 10 was composed between 1829 and1832 and was published in 1833. Opus 25 was composed between 1832 and 1836 and published in 1837. The elements used in this work are also found in the other etudes of Op. 10, though someone briefly. The composition is divided up into three different sections; the first section is measures 1-28, the second 29-48, and the last measures 49-84. Chopin uses the application of sudden diminuendos and crescendos that almost always follow harmonics placed in the left of with scales and arpeggios. An example of this is measures 75 and 80. Chopin demonstrates confliction dynamics that appear throughout the composition, this can be found in measure 10 where a crescendo is giving in the right hand and at the same time, the left hand is given a diminuendo. The melody is operatic in nature and almost sounds like a series of despairing cries of which are sung. The middle section, measures 29-48, uses the opening figurations through a series of modulations which is typical of Chopin’s style. The final section is where the opening theme is even further developed. Chopin develops the thematic material with a series of thirds and incorporates offbeat accents into the right hand melodic line. Johannes was a very self-critic man he burned many of his pieces before he could get anyone's opinion on them and he burned all of his compositions that he wrote before the age of 19.
Chopin was a piano instructor and composer of the Romantic Period. His body of work consists primarily of piano music. Born and classically trained in Poland, he left his homeland due to declining political conditions and moved to Paris, where he moved through the ranks and gained the respect of many other composers of the day. He had a famous relationship with the novelist George Sand, although the exact nature of the relationship is a bit unclear. He suffered from Tuberculosis and died at the young age of 39, not unlike so many other composers of this period.

Johann Sebastian Bach was born into a family of musicians. It was only natural for him to pick up an instrument and excel in it. His father taught him how to play the violin and harpsichord at a very young age. All of Bach’s uncles were professional musicians, one of them; Johann Christoph Bach introduced him to the organ. Bach hit a turning point in his life when both of his parents died at the age of ten years old. Bach’s older brother Johann Christoph Bach took him in and immediately expanded his knowledge in the world of music. He taught him how to play the clavichord and exposed him to great composers at the time. At the age of fourteen, Bach and his good friend George Erdmann were awarded a choral scholarship to the prestigious musical school St. Michael’s in Luneburg. From then on, Bach began to build his career in the music industry. His first two years at the school he sang in the school’s a cappella choir. Historical evidence has shown that Bach at a young age would visit Johanniskirche and would listen to the works of organ player Jasper Johannsen. This was thought to have been the inspiration to Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Studying at the prestigious musical school has help Bach network his way around and become acquaintances’ with some of the best organ players at the time such as Georg Böhm, and Johann Adam Reincken. Through his acquaintance with Böhm and Reincken Bach had access to some of the greatest and finest instruments.

Chopin wrote two collections of twelve Études (Op 10, Op 25) and they are very different to the piano studies of composers from Clementi to Kalkbrenner, which had gone before. The nature of Chopin's Études is the same as that of other composers in that individual pieces are devised to deal with a specific technical difficulty, but Chopin transformed them into pieces of music which had real feeling and depth.
Some of the most well known composers came to be in the in the classical music period. Ludwig van Beethoven was one of the composers, along with other greats of the time like Haydn and Mozart, which helped to create a new type of music. This new music had full rich sounds created by the new construction of the symphony orchestra.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as he is generally known, was baptized in a Salzburg Cathedral on the day after his birth as Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus. The first and last given names come from his godfather Joannes Theophilus Pergmayr, although Mozart preferred the Latin form of this last name, Amadeus, more often Amadé, or the Italiano Amadeo, and occasionally the Deutsch Gottlieb. Whatever the case may be, he rarely - if ever - used Theophilus in his signature. The name Chrysostomus originates from St. John Chrysostom, whose feast falls on the 27th of January. The name Wolfgang was given to him in honor of his maternal grandfather, Wolfgang Nikolaus Pertl.

Chopin lived in Warsaw as a child and spent a great deal of his life living in Paris amongst other artists of the Romantic period. He was influenced by the people surrounding him and even more from his childhood in Poland. The Polonaise-Fantaisie in A-Flat major opus 61, is musically representative of Chopin and the Romantic period, nationalistic styles from Poland and unique innovations especially from Warsaw.
The musical talent of Frederic became apparent extremely early on, and it was compared with the childhood genius of Mozart. Already at the age of 7, Frederic was the author of two polonaises, the first being published in the engraving workshop of Father Cybulski. The prodigy was featured in the Warsaw newspapers, and little Chopin became the attraction and ornament of receptions given in the aristocratic salons of the capital. He also began giving public charity concerts. His first professional piano lessons lasted from 1816 to 1822, when his teacher was no longer able to give any more help to a pupil whose skills surpassed his own. Wilhelm Würfel, a renowned pianist and professor at the Warsaw Conservatory, supervised the further development of Frederic’s talent. Würfel would offer valuable, although irregular, advice as regards playing the piano and organ to young Chopin.
