In this piece of work I will be writing about the film ‘Forrest Gump’. In this essay I will be writing about Forrest’s life journey as a child to an adult and how his life can be compared to a box of chocolates. Firstly, the film “ Forrest Gump” is a story about a man called Forrest Gump who has a low IQ as well as suffers from weak legs as his spin has muscle problems. However even though Forrest Gump has many disadvantages it is safe to say that he has achieved many incredible successes in his life. Forrest has undertaken a long journey that can been seen as remarkable for a person who has an IQ of a mentally disabled person, Forrest can been seen as a lucky guy as well as an unlucky guy as he has faced sadness far worse than most as well as shared a fair share of great happiness. Forrest’s life can been seen as a complex journey with the disadvantages he has, as he has been a war hero for saving a large number of his army comrades as well as football star which gave him a chance to meet the president of the USA. In addition, Forrest Gump has also been a Ping Pong champion and traveled to China also it is safe to say that he is a millionaire. However all this was not done because he wanted to do them, but it safe to say that his entire life time success was an accident as well as a way to protect his life time lover, Jenny as well as following his mothers words. Furthermore, Forrest’s achievements don’t stop there because after many years protecting jenny and been rejected to be her boyfriend, it is safe to say that in the end Forrest proves to be the only man for her as he marries her and has a child with her, who proved to be a smart child as well and takes on his fathers name Forrest Gump (junior). In the film w... ... middle of paper ... ...was more like a box of chocolate in terms of how unpredictable it was, as well as how sweet and bitter it was. His life was so complex and a surprise, as it was the turn out of everything he did was a mystery but in doing so he changed many people’s lives that he didn’t even know he changed, he did this just by doing what his mother told him to do as well as Jenny. However, the people who told him to do so were the ones who he changed the most because in the end he shows them the same kindness and love as they did to him maybe more. Personally as an individual I think the film Forrest Gump was a very emotional yet enjoyable film to watch as it shared many stories in relation to every day life that I found interesting. Secondly, film had a strong story line that tells a story that many people can relate to as well as find inspirational towards their own lives.
