The officials job is the most important job they have a big role when it comes to football. The role the officials play is keeping things fair and safe when in a game. The better they make calls the more the game is fair and the fans won't hate. The responsibilities officials have is to keep players safe. The players of the years are getting injured more the nfl is getting better equipment and gear to resist injuries. Officials are needed when it comes to replays and challenges. This job fits me because i'm an active person and I like to keep things fair. I like the sport of football and i think i'd like to work as an official. Also working on calls and practicing the penalties that may occur. The most interesting thing in this job is being picked to officiate a super bowl. The super bowl is one of the best games of the season and is the most important for being an official. When officiating a game like that you have to make sure everything stays fair because with one mistake everything could go wrong. The officials are the most important. Another thing that interests me is the officiating crew and how it works. The officials all have different jobs like one of the jobs is the umpire. Their is 7 positions that the officiating crew has to do. The 7 positions are the referee, umpire, head linesman, line judge, field judge, side judge, and the back judge. They all play different positions and different roles in being a nfl official. LIke the referee he's the crew chief. The umpire makes sure that no holding happens. The head linesman directs the chain crew. The line judge counts all the players on the field for the offense. The field judge watches the wide receivers and makes sure no foul happen. The side judge backs up the clock operator and counts. The back judge watches the tight end and all the action around him. This is what i think is the most interesting thing about this
