Definition of a Football Fan Being a football fan has many perks/advantages. You can select from high school, NCAA, and/or even the NFL. No matter what level of football you like, their are fans also known as fanatics. Fanatics are people who are crazy for any sport, like football. When their team plays, their fans go nuts for them. Yes, even high school football has fans too. At the high school level of football, the only fans are the parents, students, and the mascot. The best part of football is tailgating before the game, you socialize, eat, and catch up on things with other people. The most crazy fans are the students in the student section who go nuts for a great play, but also every play. When I played football, I went nuts for tackles just because I knew I could lay someone out almost every play for how tall I was; the student section would go crazy. But, NCAA football is twice as better as high school football. NCAA football is a division with every college in it, their are three divisions and several conferences like Conference-USA for WKU. Unlike the tailgating in high school, tailgating is an all day event where true fans show their true colors. Being apart in tailgating means that you are going to be in the student section if you are a student. Post secondary students go nuts once when they are liquored up and are …show more content…
But for the NFL, you have to be early or you are not going to find parking and be all stressed out. But, after you find a spot, you can get rid of your stress by getting a cold one and being responsible with it. Having the stress, being at the tailgates, and having fun is all apart of being a football fan. If you can even make it to your seat, the real fun begins when you are drunk. Being drunk at your seat is the best/worst thing of the game because some people can handle it and enjoy watching the game, others get mad and actually leave when the have had
America’s Team Will the real “America’s Team” please stand up? This term is widely used throughout the media when referring to the Dallas Cowboys. “America’s Team” was first coined some 40 years ago while introducing them for a feature film by the legendary sport writer Bob Ryan. In the following years, because of their success and mass media exposure they were a team that America as a nation could identify with ,so the name stuck. The Cowboys since those days has regressed into a very mediocre team who only looks for moral instead of actual Super Bowl victories.
While in college, football players live like normal college students. Most college athletes are rewarded scholarships for playing sports. This doesn’t make them different from other students though. They go to class, and live like every other college student on campus. This differs very much from life in the NFL. While in the NFL players make millions of dollars, and become celebrities. Unlike college football players, NFL players don’t live like regular people. They usually live in mansions, and have an abundance of riches. Because of this, it is easier for fans to relate to college football players.

It all begins with SOS and SOS+. Those are the freshman orientations. Every freshman has been through it and knows what I am talking about. Many of the SOS and SOS+ leaders told the freshman during orientation that nobody goes to the football games instead, they go to the basketball games. As a freshman you want to do everything that you can to fit into the crowd. Of course if an older student tells you that it is not "cool" to go to a football game, then most likely you are not going to go. Freshman Lucy O'Kelley says, "I was scared to go to the football games after my SOS+ leader told me that nobody went to them. I thought I would be they only one sitting in the stands, so I did not attend the games this past season." If most of the freshman felt that way then that was about 900 possible fans that the SOS and SOS+ leaders scared away. They are supposed to be leaders of the university, but yet they are scaring the fans away.
The best college football rivalries intrigue us to a point that we are on the edge of our seats for the entire game, but many people do not know exactly what makes these games so unique. Many rivalries are based off of supremacy in a certain state or in a region. Factors such as trash talking, championship contention, or recruiting implications can play into these games that appear on the schedule every year. There are games in which private schools battle it out against public schools to prove that they have earned the right to go against the public school on the gridiron year in and year out. Sometimes teams play to simply win an oversized, metal stick to keep all year. All of these can contribute to the fans paying their money or tuning in to watch these games in which history is renewed and there is a chance for more history to be made.

Surprisingly enough, one will find the most passionate football players at the high school level. Most boys will start their football career as a young child in football programs such as Pop Warner to get a foothold and to get those involved in teamwork and friendships. These programs are usually the start to someone falling in love with the sport and making it a career choice eight years later. Football is one of America’s favorite sports. When fall season comes around, people across America are placing bets, finding out where that new sports bar is, and buying wide screen T.V’s to watch NFL on Sundays.
Football is not a dangerous sport for high schoolers to be playing. It is played to show others what great team work is all about. Football will always have hard hitting and injuries involved. But it is a great way to get into a good college. Great warm-up exercises before a game are great way to be ready for the game.
College football is a major part of many peoples' lives, especially here in the South. Whether we or someone we know is an alumni, we plan to go there in the future we think the uniforms are cute, or whatever reason, we always have one favorite team we cheer for. sometimes fans of a team will wear a shirt with the team's logo and that is as far as their loyalty goes. Others may attend a few games a season, but there are also those die hard fans that never miss a game or always tailgating, screaming at the refs, and have the team's fight song as their ringtone. While all that may seem a little overboard, there are people believe it or not, who take their team devotion as far as killing to show their devotion to their favorite team. Having team spirit is one thing, but when lines are crossed and people begin causing major problems, security should be tightened at games, even if colleges have to change a few things to pay for the extra help.
With Tony Romo back under center, offensive coordinator Scott Linehan now has the luxury to fully open up the playbook and let his quarterback direct the offense by doing the imperative things that don’t show up on the stat sheets, which is setting protections, reading defenses and changing plays to best position the offense. Romo’s unorthodox skills to extend plays from the pocket as one the best improvisers in the game gives the Cowboys’ offense an opening of generating big plays, and the threat with Romo and elite receiver Dez Bryant back together, opposing defenses will likely roll lots of double coverage with a safety over the top of Bryant. On Thanksgiving,
High School football games are one of the most exciting events of the year. Games like the homecoming games or rivalry games are always packed. The student section is very lively. The cheerleaders will be chanting louder than ever. When the team scores a touchdown the chants grow louder, players as well as fans screaming in joy. It is such a great atmosphere. There is so much energy at their games. If only this were true for other sports basketball excluded, because this is also seen at basketball games. Other sports like soccer, tennis, baseball, etc don’t get this type of atmosphere at their games. As a two year varsity athlete for both soccer and baseball I have experienced this problem. The atmosphere is very dull and unexciting. The game will start with little to no people in the stands. There are no cheerleaders
College Football is a different business. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is the organization that regulates college sports in the United States, the college football league is very competitive because of its level of competence is has over 40 million viewers in the United States, obviously it cannot be compared to the NFL. The players on the teams in college football are all students one of the benefits of being a student in a college that plays within the NCAA is that they all have full scholarship for being part of the team.
