Everyone goes through different experiences in life, just as everyone has different types of intelligences and skills. In total there are nine types of intelligences but there is only 2 listed using 3 paragraphs. These examples come from “Flowers for Algernon” or “Dakota Fullest Earns Nation’s Highest Folk Honor”. Some ways in which people demonstrate their knowledge and skill is through Howard Gardner’s Logical/ Mathematical , Bodily/ Kinesthetic , and Intrapersonal intelligences. One way that people demonstrate their intellectual abilities is through the Logical/Mathematical intelligence. For example in “Flowers for Algernon” Charlie understood and was fascinated by the Calculus of Intelligence. This evidence demonstrates that Charlie understands what the “Calculus of Intelligence” means. He did research on it and was fascinated by it.Another example from Flowers for Algernon, Charlie realizes that the experiment he took part in was a failure. This evidence shows that Charlie understood and found out that the experiment was a failure. Mostly based off of the way Algernon died. Dakota carved his first flute when he was 59 only using a pocketknife.This evidence demonstrates that he can use his hands to create things. Things such as flutes that not only need your hands but your brain too. An additional example from Dakota Flutist Earn Nation’s Highest Folk Honor is that he also knows how to play the flute.This evidence shows that he is skilled at using his hands to play a flute which is very complicated to some people.
