I understand where you are coming from and completely agree with students who have entire schedules that are FlexPath. But, a student who has a partial schedule is a nightmare since I do not know which classes are to be replaced with FlexPath classes because some of these current classes on the schedules are not relative. Replacing Chemistry with a chemistry class is easy, but trying to second guess what I am supposed to do with for example an animals science class versus an art appreciation class that is something else altogether. You will NEVER see me afraid of a little work, and I am the first person to help others and usually, I don't even need to be asked. I I am somewhat surprised about this because I talked to Stephanie about it last week and she said Kerri would do the …show more content…
Because I was meeting with potential students and their families or emailing parents that Dr. Brown was asking me to talk with about the FlexPath program. I had to get VARK passwords and logins for our new facilitators and get them registered for training so that we will be ready for our VARK students next Tuesday. All the passwords and usernames have to be recorded, I need to get 504 and IEP for all the VARK students and submit them to Virtual Arkansas. I am a worker and never shun my responsibilities, I promise you will never see me just chatting or sitting around. I did not and do not think help with the partial students is or was out of line. Worry not I will get it done. I was working until 7:30 tonight and will continue the late nights until all are completed. BTW, I am still working without a contract, just pointing that out because I am a team player, working for the over all good of our students, which will always be my goal. I do employ you to find anyone that will tell you that I do not pull my own weight and usually help others pull theses, I have extremely high expectation of
You couldn't make our meeting this week. You had to attend the Career Fair on Wednesday. However, I have seen you working on your assignments. Keep working on your classes. Your grades are improving, but you need to work hard to keep this good track. Please check your grades in the Excel document I attached to my email.
assignments. In the case of Miss Hiller, she was becoming very discouraged because she didn’t seem to know how to motivate her students to learn. She is also bothered of the fact that the students didn’t seem to like her, and that she is having problems disciplining her students. Stansbury and Zimmerman (2000) suggests that to make life less stressful for new teachers like Miss Hiller, the principal may reduce the number of students in a beginning teacher’s classrooms, refrain from assigning them the most challenging students, and minimize their extracurricular and committee assignments.
Our table is dismissed. I head back to gym with a full stomach, something that shouldn’t happen. Third block is the lunch block and the eighth grade special block. This shouldn’t happen and as principle the first change that would be in immediate effect would amend the schedule to be specials during first, second, and fourth block. This will cause improvements in health with gym being at least an hour away from lunch for the eighth grade; dietary habits considering people eat as minimal food as possible to preserve their stomach, and enthusiasm because students will see any change to the current schedule as a robust change. In addition, I would change the current format of the schedule. Extend math and English to 3 hour classes, but on an
Having block scheduling is one of the main concerns of the Aldine Independent School District. Block scheduling is when students have half of their classes one day and the other half the next. There has been some complaints about how block scheduling decreases students’ focus, but there has also been many compliments about how it improves students’ education. Michael D. Rettig, President of School Scheduling Associates, states that more schools are considering block scheduling and more than thirty percent of schools in the country already have it [bandwagon]. The Aldine Independent School District has made the reasons remarkably clear as to why they have switched to block scheduling and they are: better test scores, better grades, and improvement of teacher-student interaction.

...ualized plan due to time constraints, it is reasonable to treat each student as they do have an individualized education. Teachers should know their students well enough to individualize the classroom activities so all students have strengths in each lesson. Through collaborative efforts, teachers can gain knowledge about the students and new ways to teach according to different learning styles. Working together, each student can receive an individualized education where their full potential is used.
Choosing the right courses and making a schedule is another headache job that students have to go through. Students often find it very tough to decide what are the right classes to take that related to their major. It is also stressful to wake up in the morning and be one time for classes. Finally, preparing and taking mid-term and final exams are the most stressful time that student encounter for the entire semester. In a similar case to Jack, my friend, Som, who is a good student at City College, always gets nervous and stays up all night...

As the facilitator of the group my job is to show students where to look but not what to see (Alexandra K.Trenfor).
Imagine you are a student attending the university that you thought would be the perfect fit for you. And now you are finally there, after years of preparing you have finally made it. However, after a few classes you question whether this is the perfect fit for you. The cost is expensive and the hours of going to and from classes are adding up, not to mention the amount of time you spend in the actual lecture hall with five hundred other students. Your professor is mundane and your ability to focus with all of the side conversations is impossible. Almost all the material is in the textbook or online, but your attendance is often times mandatory, so you have to go and make that unwanted trek to class. Although you got to choose your schedule, it
Building a master schedule that is contusive to student learning with minimal interruptions can be a challenging task. My principal invited a representative from each grade level to be a member of our scheduling committee. This ensured that all grade levels were a part of this decision making process. Not only did we have to making sure that teachers had the required blocks of time needed to teach core content areas but building lunch, recess and specials proved to be a challenge. We wanted to make sure that we created a schedule that limited student transitions and maximized student learning time. One of the most challenging aspects of creating a schedule is making sure that support staff are able to support their designated grade levels and the students that they serve. This created the
... I should have done a better job checking up on the students and testing them on their research to see if they were finding the correct answers and answering all of the questions required.
On the 6th of October, I attended a presentation at six o’clock in the Union ballroom. This presentation was about an organization called LiNK. In less than one hour, I learned what exactly LiNK is and what it does as an organization. Throughout this paper, I hope to inform you on the basis of why I attended this presentation, what happened at the presentation, what I learned, and how I feel from attending this presentation. First of all, I attended this presentation, because I thought it was a perfect example for one of my student engagement assignments under political science. In addition, I thought it seemed quite interesting after I researched a little about it before hand.
On the 14th of September 2017, when I worked at the paddock for the second time, though I was lost on what to do at the beginning, I managed to do what I am supposed to do – putting the keys of the cupboard back in the following order and my partner, Sandhya was to click check out in the computer. In the same week, on the 16th of September 2017 (Saturday), it was my first time tutoring too and I planned way earlier on the topics I was supposed to teach which is ‘Conversation’. I have to admit I was pretty nervous in the beginning, thinking what would happen anything goes wrong. At the end of the day when I finished tutoring, I realized it was not that bad at all and I looked forward to tutoring the following week. On the 5th October 2017, it was my turn on the paddock again, and I noticed that there is barely anyone who came in to check in their bags, so it means no work for me. All I have to do is just sit there and I regretted not bringing anything to read and write for the assignments
