The Bachelor’s degree for health and wellness opens up a number of opportunities for me in my occupational future. The opportunity I would be most interested in at this time is a Fitness and Wellness Coordinator. A fitness and wellness coordinator has a multitude of duties that they would need to preform every day from supervising other instructors to organizing and overseeing fitness and wellness programs. This could also include managing outreach activities, teaching classes in an area of specialization, or even training employees on environmental awareness conservation, or safety topics. Some health and wellness professionals even run their own business and work directly with the client to help get them on their healthcare track. If
There is a lot of fitness equipment these professionals need to know about such as: resistance machines, cardio machines, free weights or assessment devices. This equipment needs to be inspected daily because the client is using it for prescribed exercise routines. The professional would also need to have a good understanding of exercises that do not include fitness equipment such as yoga and palates. The professional will use a lot of the equipment and knowledge of the different exercises to help the individuals they are working with on track for their physical goals. Nutrition is also a large part of this profession. Exercise alone does not help the client reach their healthcare goals. A wellness coordinator would also help their client arrange meal plans to fit their lifestyle and diet choices. This can be very challenging for a coordinator as there are many different tastes to accommodate. The bachelors’ in health and wellness should also prepare you to handle this effectively by providing more knowledge with herbs and vitamins to help supplement the
This week I am working on my resume with Kaplan University Career Services so that I can get into a position that better fits what I am going to college for. I am turning it in at our local health food store, nutritionist office, as well as the local gyms. I believe that if I keep dedicating myself to my studies and working to be the best professional I can be; that in five years, I will have a bachelors’ in health and wellness. From what I can find there are currently no strict guidelines on education necessary to become a fitness and wellness coordinator; therefore, my degree should help me get my foot in the door even if it is with an entry level position. The field of health and wellness is very interesting to me. I am very social and like to help people. There are a lot of duties involved in being a fitness and wellness coordinator. Staying busy is very important to me and the additional workload will be appreciated. I have a lot of the skills started already with my work experience and also am certain that Kaplan University will assist me with polishing these skills. The projected growth for this job is good and I am excited to continue to learn and continue this path to my bachelors’

Athletic training career is one of the careers in healthcare that requires hard work, dedication, and patience. It is competitive and because of that, it requires extensive schooling. Most jobs in athletic training field requires a bachelor degree from an accredited program but having a masters degree or a doctorate degree from an accredited program increases one’s chance of getting a better job or qualifying for an affluent position in one’s company. One has to pass the rigorous board exam as well in order to be a certified athletic trainer. Athletic trainer’s job setting varies. The purpose of this paper is to gather all the strategies needed to be the best I can be in the future, as a professional. I will express all of my personal goals that I will strive to achieve during college. This paper will serve as a road map to my career path, and will help me better understand the job market. Currently my major is in the college of Kinesiology. The reason I have chosen kinesiology is because I am fascinated with the human body, and learning how to take care of it while it is in motion. This assignment calls for me to explore my options in this degree field by taking a career and personality assessment. Then, I will decide on a career, and major choice that interests me most. At this moment I will put forth all of my effort to obtain a degree from Sam Houston State University, and move onto becoming what employers are looking for. The research for this assignment will be coming from the Newton Gresham Library, Writing Center, Career Services, Internet, and O’Net
They also need to know the body so they can tell you what the problem is. You must know about the muscles and know if it is hurt. If someone tears their ACL you need to know that they tore it and know what to do to sustain them until they get to a hospital.
During this time I will continue to work as a nursing assistant as well as a pharmacy technician with Fairview Health helping individuals in any way that I can. While I am researching the program I will strive to absorb as much as I can about Occupational therapy and ultimately start my career as an occupational therapist. Ideally my plan is to accomplish my short-term goals within a three year time frame.
I always knew what my career goals were when I went into high school. Ever since I was little I wanted to become a professional boxer and also a police officer. I knew that these jobs had a great risk to injury. Even though I didn’t need to go through a full four years of college for my career goals, I wanted to get a business degree just in case I got hurt on the job and for when I retired from those job. The reason why I wanted these career goals was because I wouldn’t find my job entertaining sitting at a desk for the rest of my life. Since I find an interest in sports, I’ve decided to take the career path toward an industry that has something to do with sports and an industry that I always use for athletics. My career goal for joining
I chose Exercise Science as my major because I want to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I have been through physical therapy throughout my entire life and it has always interested me and caught my attention. Most recently, was in 2015 after I needed surgery on my knee to repair a torn meniscus. The surgeon had to completely repair my meniscus because it was not just torn it had twisted and folded over on itself. I had to go through longer physical therapy than normal because this was not just a simple tear in the tissue. I will be getting another surgery on my knee in the near future so I will need to go through more physical therapy after that. It is better to have someone that has had those experiences and has seen things from the patient’s point of view so that they know how their patient is feeling going through therapy. I know I would rather have a physical therapist that knows what receiving the treatment is like and has gone through physical therapy before, rather than someone who has never received therapy and does not necessarily know what being a patient going through physical therapy feels like. I originally thought about majoring in athletic training to stay within more of an athletics type of atmosphere but exercise science will give me
The individual filling the position of the physiotherapist also has the responsibility of training the other staff members on how each piece of equipment works. The physiotherapist is required to inform other staff members on how the equipment can be used for different conditioning and rehabilitation purposes. The Fit Stop also employs one individual with a bachelor degree in Kinesiology in order to provide advice to clients based on specific sports or physical activities. The need for extrinsic rewards is much higher than the need for intrinsic rewards due to all of The Fit Stop’s employees being full-time.
I will get my bachelors in this program which is bachelors of science in health and wellness. I will then get more education with more lab involved or more hands on experience to be able to move on to my next move which will be to enter a physical therapy program and I will be there for a few years. When I get enough experience, I will get my certification to be a sports physical therapist and help young or older athletes overcome injuries.
Education is neither linear nor static. It requires evolution and fluctuations. I received my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at UNC Charlotte, and now it is time for a prime conversion to be made. Attending the Masters of Public Health program at UNC Charlotte would open the door for me to pursue my career aspirations in health care. Specifically, I am interested in epidemiological methods in community health. My ambition, perseverance, and work ethic have brought me to a high point, and enrolling in the Masters in Public Health program would raise that threshold even higher.
Suffolk University’s Healthcare Administration program will offer me a variety of opportunities to succeed in out of the classroom and transform me into a
I have an unquenchable desire to learn and develop the mind. I believe, one of the greatest ways to better care for individuals, families, communities and the population was to pursue the Master of Public Health Program and concentrate on Community Health Education. With the Master of Public Health degree, I can better understand how to implement, plan and evaluate health promotion and disease prevention programs to better serve different communities. I want to pursue a master’s degree to focus on my career interest more in-depth. Choosing to pursue the MPH program is a lifelong self-fulfillment, because there is no greater satisfaction than knowing I am going to wake up every day to improve the lives of people all around the world. Higher education is rewarding and can open the door to greater opportunities. I aspire a career with a purpose, that is why I chose to complete my graduate

Throughout our life we will experience moments that will have a profound effect on which path in life we take. Previously, my goal was to be a nurse, however due to not meeting the requirements for the nursing program at CSU Stanislaus, I changed my major to sociology. I am currently a junior, but going to graduate next spring 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. After graduating I plan on getting my Masters in Health Care Administration. This decision for this degree was influenced by my first plan on getting my nursing degree; I still want to be in the healthcare field and an MHA seemed like a good fit for me. The two organizations relevant to my career that I will examine are the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department
