In the movie “children of heaven”, many planning issues are displayed. Unlike most Hollywood movies, “children of heaven” displays Iran how it really stands. The movie not only shows both poor and rich areas, but it explores both setting of Iran. The film shows different alleyways, a school, into their homes, another city, and even into the neighbor hood and backyard of a house in a richer neighborhood. Comparing the United States to Iran, the definition of rich and poor is extremely different for both areas. This film also shows how the slums are and how the people that live there deal with issues. This essay is going to discuss the consequences of urbanization, family values and social network, and comparisons of rich and poor neighborhoods.
In “Children of Heaven” they show how the poor live in the slums and how the rich live in the city. In the slums, families live in small homes next to others surrounding a courtyard with a pool of water where the families do laundry. While in the city, the higher-class families live in quite large houses compared to the slums. Instead of knocking of doors, families have a call box outside the door that visitors ring before they are welcomed. This is a great difference of privacy than the slums where everything is open. This could be scary to people that live in the slums, since they are used to being open with everybody and being face to face. Since the rich choose to be more private, they most likely don’t have as much of an abundance of friends or acquaintances as people in the slums. The movie “Children of Heaven” shows everyone that prosperous neighborhoods aren’t always better than neighborhoods in need. A lot of richer neighborhoods aren’t as social or supporting with neighbors as poorer places are. “Children of Heaven” showed how great of a difference the poor and rich live and how they are affected differently. This movie also demonstrated how desperate people can be at times and what they will do in order to help the situation. Finally this movie displayed how important it is for lower-class citizens to be social and to help other when they are in need, so when you are in need they will help you.
