The purpose of this report is to inform you of the field research that I will be doing on the field of hospital administration. This memo will include the background information on my topic, the methods of research I conducted, the results from my research, and a summary of my research.

Summary:
I wanted to have a full understanding of how the field of hospital administration is perceived by those familiar with UF Health Shands Hospital. I created a survey and sent the link to 40 people I know through text message. I used the informative field report approach so that I could get the results I wanted and conduct proper research. I wanted to research information about teaching hospitals, the public’s view of hospital management, how hospitals are typically managed, and common problems in hospital administration. I noticed in all of the articles I used for my research, there was a discussion of income. However, in my research I did not think of this factor. I was mainly focused on the public’s personal opinion of hospital administration. In one of the articles, I found that, “Public perception of hospitals shapes public debate and directly impacts not only patient decisions on where to seek treatment, but their expectations regarding the quality of service they will receive” (Macey). I found that this was the most important factor when looking at how a hospital is managed. It is important for a hospital to provide quality service. All of the results varied. However, I did notice that a common trend was the age of those I interviewed. out of the 36 people, 31 of them of the people that I sent the survey to were from the age rages of 18-30. As for the others, 3 of them were from the ages 31-45, and the other two were from ages 46-60. I found that all of their answers were quite similar for each question. I noticed a trend that those who were student athletes preferred to seek medical attention from their athletic trainer rather than that of a medical doctor. I was also pleased to see that when receiving medical attention, each of my subjects answered that they did not have to wait very long to seek medical
