The marketing concept is producing a product that people want to buy and that the business is not selling because it likes making the product there doing it because they know people will buy their product. After reading the poem entitled “Youth”, I felt that James Wright was not only describing the life of his father but also the lives of the many other factory workers in the Ohio Valley. Many of these workers had either dropped out of school or went straight to the factories after high school, never really getting a chance to enjoy their lives as young `````adults. I think that has something to do with the title of this poem. It’s clear that Wright knew his father and the other men were not satisfied with their jobs and just chose not to speak about it. These factory workers slaved away and then came home “quiet as the evening” probably because they were content to just be relaxing at home with their families. They knew that this was their way of life and they had to do it, even if they had big dreams to someday get away. I think that Wright was also trying to make a point that these men who worked so hard every day were not valued as much as they should have been. These men did not have the education to get a higher paying job but they did have the proper skills and knowledge to work in the factories. I like that James Wright mentioned Sherwood Anderson in this poem as I enjoy his work. Anderson left his Ohio hometown for Chicago to pursuit bigger and better things because he knew if he stayed in the area, he would be unhappy. However, it is a little ironic that Anderson one day just got up and left in the middle of writing and was said to have a mental breakdown.
In Paris, France, an artist named Camille Pissarro painted his creation The Boulevard Montmartre on a Winter Morning, in 1897. In the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this painting is hanging on the second floor in Gallery 820. The galleries within the 800 range, in which this section is dedicated to only the European Paintings in the 19th and the 20th centuries. In Gallery 820, it only displays Camille Pissarro paintings. The painting around gallery 820 is also paintings from Paris from the same era. Galleries 818-822 all are from the Annenberg collection. The painting The Boulevard Montmartre on a Winter Morning is right next to The Garden of Tuileries on a Spring and The Garden of Tuileries on a Winter Afternoon. Like in the Boulevard Montmartre on a Winter Morning, both paintings Garden of Tuileries on a Spring and The Garden of Tuileries on a Winter Afternoon also sets in Paris, France. Most of Pissarro paintings in the Metropolitan Museum have to do with landscapes of the city and the countryside.
Moulin Rouge and the Disneyfication of the Avant Garde At best, Moulin Rouge is a lot of fun. At worst, it represents the erasure of history. Moulin Rouge is set in the Paris of 1900--at least ostensibly it is. The actual Paris of 1900 is the Paris of Satie, the Paris of Ravel, and Debussy.

When carnival was created it was a day for the peasants to have freedom to do what they wanted to the kings and the hierarchy above them, but my question is why did the kings take it to heart? If what the Kings do to the peasants on a daily basis is not accepted when it is done to them on the day of carnival, then why do it at all?
In one point of our adolescent lives, we have those days where we become tired, fatigued, and bored because we have nothing to do. It is a friday evening, I am lying on my messy bed thinking of things that can keep me entertained. I look around the room and I spot my two guitars hanging from the wall, a couple in the corner mounted on top of each other, and one in a hardshell case lying on the floor but I am not interested. I opened my laptop and go on youtube but there is nothing to watch. I try reading my thick business law book however, its friday night I do not want to do homework! With desperation, I send some text messages out to my friends hoping to go out tonight. Fortunately, all my friends are available and we quickly make plans to go to Old town Pasadena on Colorado Blvd. Once we are there, I ponder about how lucky we are to have places like these where we can come and relax after a long week and spend time with family and friends.
...udiences. But due to this coup, the organizers are getting into position to generate the income in order to cover the expenses for non-local performers. The festivals are then becoming more expensive.
The Fables for Our Time contained in Thurber's The Thurber Carnival are, in my opinion, particularly good examples of a writer successfully 'breaking frames' in order to create humor and satire. In this essay I am going to explore the main methods Thurber uses to create humor and satire in the fables "The Shrike and the Chipmunks" and "The Unicorn in the Garden"2.
Joyeux Noel is a French film released in 2005 about the 1914 Christmas truce on the front lines of World War I. The Christmas truce showed humanity and kindness between the opposing forces. Because it was Christmas, they put their weapons down and, in the words of the French commanding officer, “fraternized” with the enemy. They showed all of the moral resources discussed in class; sympathy/empathy, respect and “humanity as a fact and aspiration”.
The festival I have picked to do is the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. I thought this festival was interesting because it is not just an average festival with delicious food, live music and countless family and friend activities, but a festival to celebrate and honor a friendship between two countries. I think that this is a festival everyone should go and see at least once in their life.

In Japan, spring is the season for renewal, rebirth, life and growth. When you think of spring in Japan, you would usually think of the cherry blossoms that bloom all throughout this country. The cherry blossoms are a symbol of “human life, transience, and nobleness.”(Spring, JNTO) There is more to spring than just the cherry blossom viewing. All throughout Japan, different prefectures are celebrating festivals to welcome the coming of spring and to pray for good health. Some of the festivals that might occur in Japan are: Dai Himonjiyaki, Yayoi Festival, Hina Matsuri, Kodomo no Hi, and Aoi Matsuri.
Hong Kong's straight-laced, buttoned-down business reputation suggests a city that's idea of a party is champagne, cheeseboards, and soothing music. But don't be fooled. Beneath their suits, Hong Kong people have a party animal ready to escape—and it frequently does. Hong Kong has long been a stronghold of Chinese culture and its traditional festivals are celebrated with energy, color, and lots of noise.
Christian Festivals For a Christian, a festival is a time for celebration marked by special event or occasion.
