All songs have meanings. Music talks to everyone in a different way. People also listen to music at different times of their lives. Songs; can be about family, friends, or love. There are many types of songs out there. So while writing this essay, I thought of my topmost favorite songs. I have a lot of beloved songs, but there are a few that mean the most to me. Songs have taught me so many important lessons. Listening to music help me calm down when I am mad or sad. Music means so much to everyone not only me.
One of my preferred songs is about being wanted. Humans are always looking for attention. Everyone always wants to impress someone else. The sad part of this song is that some people do not know that they are wanted by others. They become depressed and sad and think nobody they know actually likes them. They look for other people while the closest people are

In the future, I will be a premed student. Everyone knows how difficult that will be. So whenever I listen to this song, I just want to have fun and enjoy myself. Life is always going to be a little challenging sometimes. If you let it get to you, how will it ever end? Sometimes you just have to forget and continue to the present. Life is not always about the seriousness. You have to let loose and have some actual fun time. You can do both. Be a successful person who knows how to enjoy life and be happy.
Moreover, another song that I love is about family. Which is about how there are always people who care about you. You may not think anyone notices you, but I am certain that there are. Those people will always and forever stand by you. They do not want you to harm yourself, or anything to happen to you. There are always those times in life when you forget those type of people exist, and you feel lonely. While listening to this song I remember those people. This song makes me more appreciative of what I
This song relates to my life perfectly. For example, “Wheel in the sky keeps on turning I don't know where I'll be tomorrow.” My home life was very unstable when I 12 years old, and at any point in time things could change and I would have to relocate...
Music is an art and a wonderful gift to human race. It soothes, stimulates and makes us feel happy. It affects our moods in many different ways from lullaby to war cry for changes in the society. Music is actually distinct to different people. Above all, it has a transformational importance that is captured in its art and nature. Music draws our emotions and it has an impact of bridging different cultures across the continents. Slave songs were very vital channels through which all kind of information was conveyed both positive and negative.
To start off, this phrase has the most meaning because it sums up the entirety of this powerful song in just one short sentence. The main meaning of this song is centered on the fact that every single person goes through life making many mistakes and regretting past decisions. Of course, it is okay to be occasionally frustrated with these mishaps, but at the same time, one cannot let these negative ordeals consume
The song I have chosen is Shadow Of The Day by, Linkin Park. Many people when they hear this song it has a dark or sad feel to it, obviously, it says "the shadow of the day will embrace the world in gray and the sun will set for you." The song talks about death and how every day ends, but to me, I hear never waste a day living. We don't live forever, so once you are gone you are just another memory so make the best out of every
...hing to turn help his friend around from the path he is on. Knowing that there are people out there, like my teacher and Slade, that are willing to take time out of their busy schedule to sit down and talk to another person is a very uplifting feeling. Depression can be cured by a small amount of attention to detail. Having a positive attitude and paying attention to other people around you can make a world of difference. Sitting down and listening to someone when they have had a rough day could possibly be the difference between life and death. This song has been an anthem for people suffering from depression, and given them hope to keep fighting for that silver lining. This song may not have the deepest meaning for everyone, but to the affected people it can symbolize their life. It will help them search out their loved ones and God who will get them through this.
One of my favorite songs of all time would have to be Troubadour by George Strait. This has always been one of my favorite songs I would always listen to it when I was a little kid even. I believe this song has always appealed so much to me because George strait is one of my favorite artists for artists and second because I liked the tune of the song and the way that it sounded. The last couple of years when I have listened to the song it has kind of took on a whole other meaning to me. Now I listen to the song and I really appreciate it.
My first reason for picking this song is because I think it shows a lot of passion and everyone needs passion at some point in their life. The lyrics “And things to be found” relates to passion because it gives the listener the sense that bigger and better things are yet to come. And that wherever they may go their passion will come with them. This quote can also
The song I chose for this essay is “don’t blink” by Kenny Chesney. It reminds you of how fast you can get through something without even realizing it’s there. Like school, you remember all the years and how long they took to get over with. Now as a senior everything looks as if it flew by so fast and all the memories really make you sad. But you need to look on the positive side. There will always be more fun times and probably better memories. But you should always enjoy life as it is no matter the circumstances.
“Leave all your love and your longing behind, you can’t carry it with you if you want to survive. The dog days are over, the dog days are done. Can you hear the horses, ‘cause here they come” (Welch, 2008) are the lyrics in the chorus. In a way, it is like Florence Welch is talking about life like a war, and basically saying that the war of the past is over and now it’s time to move on to the next. “Happiness hit her, like a bullet in the back. Struck from a great height, by someone who should’ve known better than that” (Welch) are the lyrics that pick up the song. Soon, the fight is not over because there will always be a person who will shoot bullets, but it is what people do in the aftermath that matters. “Happiness hit her,” and this person “should’ve known better,” than to stop her from that. There are many points in life where it is time to move on, being that it is “just life,” and this song truly embraces moving forward until the wars we witness are
These songs, the way the lyrics, harmonies, and music all fit together to make me forgot all of my problems. I began to use my free time to create a different playlist for every possible emotion I could possibly be feeling. When I feel like nothing in the world can stop me, I blast the Eagles greatest hits out of my jeep window. When I feel like everything in this earth is out to get me, I play my emotional country music role models. From George Strait, to Tim Mcgraw, to Faith Hill, to Garth Brooks, these songs have dragged me out of the deepest holes I ever fell into. Instead of lashing out on the world whenever life does not go my way, I choose to shut the world out and listen to Frank Sinatra, Mumford and Sons, Coldplay, and pretty much anyone else who had anything positive to say to
Songs have always captured my attention, but none so much as Earth Song. This song expresses how I feel about music. It tells of how music can be a light in the darkness of this world. This is truly what music has meant to me. This is why as I go into college I would like to pursue a degree in music therapy. Other students often ask me for help, and I have been told several times that I would be a good teacher. I love children and have always been able to connect with them. Pursuing a degree in music therapy allows me to combine my strengths and passions.
Making it to the top is something I have always wanted to make it to the top and be successful. No matter what I’m doing: getting ready for a big football game, taking a shower, or just relaxing in my bed, I always have this song playing. Anytime I feel down and lonely, I listen to my favorite song. The line “we finally moving, we all on the road” reminds me that no matter how I’m feeling or what I’ve done in life, god will always help me and push me to chase my dream. It also reminds me of simpler times, sitting at home with my family going through the struggle with nothing to eat. I learned that music, god family and music is just like a number one fan, there
down. This song reminds me of the first time I had a mental breakdown in high school. It was freshman year and I was stressed because I had to write an essay for honors english and it was my first time under that much pressure. I stayed up all night trying to perfect my essay. I cried and I made sure that I was giving it my all. To my surprise this was only the beginning of many mental breakdowns over school.
For my song, I chose Fifteen by Taylor Swift. This is a very touching song, it talks about freshman year of high school, finding your first love and then they use you and don't love you back. The overall mood of this song is remorse. The persona of Taylor is that of a new freshman. Taylor uses figurative language such as “your head spin around”, “gave everything she had”, “look before you fall”, “time can heal most anything”, “feeling like flying”, and “Feeling like there's nothing to figure out”. Taylor is comparing a first kiss to a spinning head, and flying to a first date. Her figurative language enhanced the song because it made you feel how the person felt. ** The overall message of Fifteen is “look before you leap”, or, in Taylor’s words,
...feeling down, or simply if I’m having a bad day. It’s the type of song I would listen to when taking a walking in the park, admiring and observing other people’s behavior with each other. And how peaceful our world can be if we really wanted to make the change to ourselves and our self-centered ideas.
