Father. What does that word mean to you? What’s the role of a father? When are you allowed to be called such a word? Is it when you have a child with a women? Or when that child is the only thing that you could think off. There are many different ways to say it, dad, pops, papa, papi and the list can go on. But which ever is used you know that this word means that you have a child now and you have to do your best to take care of that child with all your heart. He/she is who you will put in front of anyone else. The person that when you die will hopefully give that speech about how great a father you actually was and how much they will miss you. But this role of being a mother and a father at the same time doesn’t come to easy, because weather it is shown or not your kids will be affected be the departure of the true fatherly figure. These affects can come differently between the male and female. As for the play the male which is Tom Wingfield and the female Laura Wingfield. These to characters are affected in their own ways by the fact that their father just went on and left them without saying a word. At first I was afraid to ask these type of questions because a topic like this is very touchy, and it could get very personal which a lot of people don’t like to express. But I finally decided to do it anyways. Sadly I was only able to interview three people because what I was afraid of was true people just didn’t want to speak about it. Which tells me that these people are still hurt by there fathers actions. I originally had about 10 people in mind to interview, when I asked them if I could and I they said know you could see how hurt they still were. So as for the people that actually allowed me to ask them a couple of questions. The the people that I did interview where Carolin, Chris and Manie. Two male and one female. It seemed as if though these people are ok with that facts that their dad had left them when they were young. Carolin said that she was ok with it because her step father came into her life a young age and she was always given the best life that she could have had had because her mom did all she could to provide it. Chris is still in touch with his dad but he says that he would not want him back into my life. He says that now that he is an adult he has his own life to pay attention to.
