A man was walking around Southwest Sports Complex in Lakeland, Florida, when he spotted a toddler wandering around alone. Instead of just walking by, he stopped to help her find her parents. That kind move earned him a beating and the label of child predator, according to WFLA. The man was with his friend, a Polk Sheriff's Office deputy, when he found the lost two-year-old toddler by herself. He began walking around with her, hoping she would see her parents so he could help reunite them. According to FOX13, Lakeland Police Sgt. Gary Gross explained: “He saw that the child was in danger. She was wandering off and he did the right thing by going to her, getting her attention, trying to find the parents. We had an independent eyewitness …show more content…
that saw him walking around, asking, ‘Is this your parents? Is that your father?’” Her father, Austin Strickland, did see her with the man trying to do a good deed, but he didn't say thank you, instead, he attacked him, punching him multiple times. Strickland told FOX13: “You’re damn right I punched him. I wanted to kill the man, You just don’t take someone else’s kid and walk to the parking lot or walk in that direction.” Strickland was afraid the man was attempting to kidnap his child after he lost track her during a softball game, noticing she was missing as he entered the dugout. Lakeland Police Sgt. Gary Gross said: “In the heat of the moment the parents were scared, and I’m sure shocked.

parents.” Police determined the "good samaritan" did not commit a crime by helping the lost toddler after speaking with witnesses, and confirming the man did not have a criminal background.
That was still not enough for Strickland though, when he was asked if he believed the man's side of the story, he said: “No. Hell no I don’t. Not at all." Strickland not only attacked the man physically, he also went after him online, with his family and friends targeting the "good samaritan" on social media, spreading the man's personal information, including his name, photo, business information, and photos of his children, calling him a child predator. The Lakeland Police Department put out a warning on Facebook after false information and twisted stories about the man who found the lost child started showing up on social media, reminding people: “Posting false information on Facebook could cause a defamation of character claim and those posting false information could be held libel. Be careful about what you post on social media so as not to victimize an innocent person." The Good Samaritan would be well within his rights to press charges against Strickland, but didn’t because he understands the father was frantic over his little going
missing. The man who wanted to help a lost child be safely returned to her parents has now left the Lakeland area out of fear for his children's safety.
Fear often invokes the fight or flight syndrome in which we are compelled to either battle the fear firsthand or to run from the source of the fear despite the consequences. In the case of Cory Goodine, being witness to the unforeseen murder of Jason Boyd by none other than his own friend Todd Johnston sent a ripple of fear and shock through his body and paralyzed his mind resulting in the unfortunate events following the murder. Cory Goodine should not have been charged with accessory after the fact and/or aiding and abetting because the murder was not a conspiracy, he was in shock and terrified, and he was simply acting in self-defence. Nonetheless, some may argue that he did still aid Johnston’ although he did not have much of a choice given

As if having more then half of the world hate Zimmerman isn’t good enough, but putting his parents through so much pain with having them watch George become a free man. If Trayvon were here during the trail, where would this case be as of right now? Who would then be the free man?

"Anxieties regarding the threat of crime against children often take on panic-like proportions. In the USA, where FBI statistics indicate that fewer than 100 children a year are kidnapped by strangers, the public concern with child abduction is pervasive. [...] The same inflated sense of danger prevails in the UK. Many parents do not believe that, over the years, the number of children murdered by strangers has remained fairly static. On average it has been five per year. A few highly publicized child murders have helped shaped the impression of such tragedies 'could happen to every child'" (Furedi 24).
...discussion and deep consideration for the issues facing the city of Sanford, I have determined the police chief needs to have the trust and respect of the elected officials and the confidence of the entire community,” Bonaparte said in the statement. “We need to move forward with a police chief that all the citizens of Sanford can support.” (Miami Herald News). The shooting of the 17-year-old boy Trayvon Martin that has sparked national outrage and has also painted Sanford in an unfavorable light across the country (Miami Herald News). It was sad to see that the parents of Trayvon could not receive Justice for the death of the their son. Everyone around the world followed this case and it was very disturbing and upsetting to find that the jury found George Zimmerman not guilty for killing a innocent seventeen year old boy who was just walking home from the store.

First, I would like to bring to your attention that George Zimmerman was found not Guilty of the murder of Trayvon Martin under the 'Stand your ground law' This law which is placed gives individuals the right to use deadly force to defend themselves without having to retreat from a dangerous situation However, When Zimmerman called 911 and explained to the police department about the suspicious of Trayvon Martin the police officer informed him not to follow yet Zimmerman continue to follow him after the dispatcher told him there was no need to do so Surely if George Zimmerman after calling a dispatch unit because he felt unsafe why did he feel the need to then follow the young teenager he is now inserting himself into what he declared to be a dangerous situation Knowing full well that he was armed, Zimmerman followed Trayvon in his car AND on foot meaning he left his car making the decision to bring his gun in order to pursue and confront someone Here you can see he was clearly wanting trouble. he was ordered not to follow him. But he did so therefore he has no right to claim self-defense. He was asking for a fight and he got one, with a kid he thought to be dangerous. we can clearly see George Zimmerman was the instigator and placing himself into this position and then use the act of self defense to justify murder of an innocent unarmed teenager. I don't think he set out to ...
“... Shanesha Taylor, who left her two toddlers in a hot Arizona car for more than an hour, were dropped” said Luscombe. That is child abuse, it’s Arizona of course it’s gonna be hot as hell and she left her toddlers while she was having a job interviewed. How is that even acceptable, there has been many incidents where toddlers even babies have died for been in the car during a strong heat wave. It is legal know to break a window when you see a dog trap in the car on a hot day because that is animal abuse! So why Shanesha Taylor getting off easily, this probably was her first time getting caught but she has probably left her toddlers in the car multiple times.

Many active Facebook users take risks that can lead to burglaries, identity theft, and stalking. Fifteen percent had posted their current location or travel plans, 34 percent their full birth date, and 21 percent of those with children at home had posted those children's names and photos. Moreover, roughly one in five hadn't used Facebook's privacy controls, making them more vulnerable to threats (Cybercriminals).
