Exploratory Essay

Technology has greatly impacted our society as a whole. From phones that have become smarter, to refrigerators that you can see inside of without even opening the door. Although, many people believe that since technology has become such a big part of us and furthering our society, that it only can have positive effects. However, by the words of my friend Isaac Newton, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Even though technology moves our society forward, we almost take two steps back. One example is the Surface Pro.

The Surface Pro 2 is a Windows product that was released in 2013. It is a 2-in-1 tablet and laptop that can give you freedom to work however you like. It was designed to be free-moving and light weight, the tablet weighing in at only 2 pounds, compared to the Macbook Pro 15” which weighs in at about 4.5 pounds. The keyboard is detachable and also turns 270° around the computer. The

Every student has a tablet that they rent for 3 years. This has had many beneficial factors to my school life and regular life. In school, students can use the tablet to take notes faster than writing them on paper, we can walk through powerpoints with the teacher, and we have access Google/Google Drive all of the time. NDP uses Google a lot in their daily life, to look for research, write papers or make presentations, etc. These tablets help save paper too because everything can be online and teachers don’t have to print out multiple copies of worksheets and notes. Having everything online can be better also because students have less of a chance of losing their homework, which means higher grades, which means happy parents and happy teachers. When you have tablets, you have the option to add applications or apps. With apps like Safe Exam Browser, teachers can be sure that students are not cheating on exams and it also jumbles up questions so different students have different
