The IQA must establish the planning process and plan for internal quality assurance; they must plan the activity, carry it out, make a decision and provide feedback. The IQA is responsible to the employer and external bodies; they must ensure that assessment strategies work, are the assessment intervals working? You will to be accountable to your learners and your organisation to ensure that you are carrying out your assessor role correctly. Learners must know why they are being assessed and what they need to do to meet the assessment criteria. The IQA will also be accountable to the awarding body regarding how you are carrying out your role. Evaluating what you have both seen and heard is important, does what I have seen and heard as the
Before answering the questions let find out what intelligence test is. It is a test consisting of a series of tasks requiring people to use various verbal and non verbal skills to measure the individual’s intellectual ability. Now that we know what an intelligence test is we can now answer the question better. Three important short comings of intelligence test that have nothing to do with intelligence are: having low motivation or high anxiety which can greatly influence the performance on the test, also IQ test may contain cultural biases in their language and or tasks that may place people of one background above people of another back ground, and members of minority groups may have little experience with this kind of test or may be uncomfortable with examiners of a different ethnic back ground than them (Comer, 2013, pp.107).
In the society of today, there are various educators who believe in assessment as proper method to measure the performance of a child in school as well as the overall achievement of a specific school system. The assessment may be presented in the form of verbal, written, or multiple choice, and it usually pertains to certain academic subjects in the school curriculum. Recently, many educators began to issue standardized tests to measure the intelligence of a common student body. (Rudner, 1989) These standardized tests were initially created to reveal the success in institutional school programs, and exhibit the abilities of students today. The standardized tests can reveal the strengths and weaknesses of a student as well as the admission into certain programs. The test results also assist various schools in determining the proper curriculum, evaluate a specific school system, or a particular school related program.
My greatest area of strength in assessment literacy is during the test administration, because I believe I do a wonderful job providing directions for the students, I monitor students and watch them to make sure they are not cheating with each other, and I make sure the testing environment is conducive to high achievement. When my tests are distributed to my students, I make sure to read the directions of each section of the students and ask my students if they need any more clarification on the section directions. If students forget the directions while the test is taking place, I make it a point to clarify for them in private and then announce to the class a reminder for each section. This usually happens when I monitor my students during the testing session. I make sure that I am visible and mobile inside my classroom. I want my students to do well on tests and gain confidence that they understand the concepts being tested, but I want my students to be self-motivated and self-reliant and to not look to their partners for the answers.
Research carried out by Ofsted (2011) shows that, assessment improved a practitioner’s awareness of a child’s strengths and weaknesses. Subsequently, this had a positive influence on their planning, as they were able to differentiate and offer adequate support for children. Ofsted believes it to be the best way to improve pupil’s attainment (Ofsted, 2011).
The companies continued acquisitions at the firm ignored the standards of conflicts between competing accounts. There was little direction on how each acquired account would fit into the company’s original structures which also disabled its core beliefs of winning and ingenuity. (Finkelstein, 2003, p.90-91).
The purpose of this Quality Management Plan is to document the necessary information require to effectively manage project quality from project planning to delivery. This contribute to the assessment because this information can be use to improve and enhance future performance. 6.5 Record the outcomes of assessments to meet the internal and external requirements In my teaching practices, I always record assessments outcomes as it helps me to follow my students progression and at the same time I can monitor learners' achievement. All information concerning their assessments are recorded, I use them to compare each assessments to the other. I can see which assessment was successful and which assessment has not been done properly.
What is pivotal in assessment is that it enhances teaching and learning; it is also the crucial link between learning outcomes, the content that is taught and learning activities. Furthermore, Sieborger (1998) states that assessment is a reciprocal process; as it is used by both learners and teachers to decide where the learners are at in their learning and where they need to go and how best to get there. The characteristics that Sieborger identifies to be contained in assessment are made up of: tasks, exercises, tests and exams, which are set and assessed by educators.
IQ test stands for an ‘intelligence quotient’ test, or a cognitive ability test and these tests are taken frequently by many people as a measure of one’s intelligence. The view that an IQ test accurately determines, or even estimate, and individual’s intelligence is very arguable, and has not been without controversy. IQ tests work on the notion of Symbolic Logic, and since this is not correlated with intelligence, there is uncertainty over what is being measured. The very notion of intelligence can be debated on vigorously, due to the vast possible definitions of the essence of intelligence. Te means by which an IQ test is developed can also greatly influence the outcome , as the test depends on what the test maker considers as intelligent.
Quality control is a very important part of an organizations goals. This process provides a connection between knowledge and a process where outcomes help improve the quality between the patient and organization. The purpose of this paper is to describe my organizations quality programs goals and objectives, the structure of our quality control management, and describe how quality improvement (QI) projects are selected, managed, and monitored. I will discuss our in-service program, tools used to implement QI and whether they are effective. I will then describe how our QI processes are communicated to the staff and if this communication is effective. Lastly, I will describe how the organization evaluates QI activities and provide two examples
Planning can be used to help the organization map out a way to efficiently achieve their goals. The beginning of the planning process should include analyzing of the current situation. From this information the company can determine the goals and start to outline the steps that need to be taken to ensure that the goal will be met. Other planning activities that should be completed are determining the company’s objectives and were they want to be in the future. This will help them to choose their business objectives and strategies. In addition, the company should look at the resources that they have available and determine if they are sufficient to achieve the organizations goals.
An intelligence quotient test more commonly known as an IQ test is a frequently used way of measuring an individual’s intelligence and is derived from the score achieved from one of several standardized tests designed to assess human intelligence. However how accurate are these tests in determining and assessing ones intelligence? These tests are often used as part of a job interview and used to compare results between different applicants to assess who has greater ability and therefore will perform better in the job. This essay will focus on why IQ tests should not be used as an indicator of how well a person will perform in a job and therefore should not be used as part of a job interview. It will include the findings of such researches and the conclusions which may be drawn from these.
It is important that teachers give children a fair chance to show their knowledge when assessing. “The purpose of assessment is to provide feedback that can be used to improve student performance” (Orange 2000). Teachers assess children to ensure that they are understanding the material, and to make sure they are learning. For young children, tests should never be the only criteria for assessment. Instructors should always make sure that their assessment is fair.
CQI is an approach to quality management by emphasizing the organization and systems to builds upon traditional assurance methods. It is more focuses on the process instead of the individual. It acknowledges both internal and external customers, It helps to improve the need for objective data to analyze and the processes.
Introduction Effectively integrating information technology (IT) into an organization’s business processes is critical if the organization wants to increase productivity and remain profitable. IT includes items such as the systems software, application software, computer hardware, and the networks and databases that help manage the organization’s information. When implementing quality standards and processes that are forever changing in the IT world, organizations must balance these changes while continuing to rapidly implement new systems technologies in order to stay competitive. Quality improvements in IT delivery and service support can be improved by measuring and tracking user satisfaction, integration and flexibility early on in the decision process and reinforcing them throughout the review process. Adhering to quality management best practices means ensuring that quality standards are strictly enforced and entrenched into the organization’s philosophy.
