Makayla- Sequence: I would suggest that in being condemned to the order of sequence as she is that I would create a sub order system. In that I would have a system the still operates in chronological order that suggests that if I cannot find an answer that I would skip them and once completing the answers I know complete the rest in order of occurrence as well. Although she is ruled my sequence, She should learn to take matters into her own hands and not be so literal. Use context clues and her mind to come up with solutions instead of relying on the research to always produce the correct answer.
Paul- Technical Reasoning: I would suggest that in his studying and solitude that he reflects even if in small notes what his process and desired outcome is. He is technical but he must be able to explain his reasoning.
John- Precision: I would suggest that making sure he keeps in mind the points he is trying to make. Being very

detailed isn’t a bad thing, but he must keep in mind that the audience may not understand what is being explained. Knowing his audience and being descriptive only when giving example or supporting a fact is what I would remind him when writing. Raheem- Confluence: I would suggest that being creative is always a good thing, but making sure that he can verbalize tasks and explain in detail is creativity. I would suggest that in his creativity and solitude that he takes the time to research topics and interpret them to his liking. He has to be able to support his creativity and explain it. My LCI Scores Sequence: 29 Precision: 25 Technical Reasoning: 22 Confluence: 21 To Enhance Reading: Sequence – “Use your Sequence to overview the Table of the Contents and read the Preface/Introduction to your textbooks. This will provide you with a structure/roadmap for the book and help you understand the direction that the book will ultimately lead you. The headings and subheadings provide structure for the information presented so that it is not overwhelming to you as the reader. Taking notes and creating your own outline of the chapter will help you see how concepts build upon each other. “ Precision – “This Pattern is very important when reading material that is complex or unfamiliar. Reread passages more than once to increase comprehension. Avoid the temptation to skim or skip information as textbooks typically build knowledge. Take notes on what you are reading and use highlights to call out the important details that you will need to know. Use the glossary or your own dictionary to look up unfamiliar words.” To Enhance Writing Technical Reasoning – Too many details can take your paper off track and lead to rambling that distracts the reader from your main points.
Use your Technical Reasoning to ensure that your points are concise and succinct. Provide relevant examples to demonstrate your understanding of the topic. Technical Reasoning can help narrow down resources to only those that are relevant to the topic.
Confluence – Start the writing process with a good brainstorming session! Write every idea down (using sticky notes, whiteboards, chart paper) and don’t stifle your creativity. One idea leads to another and you can write down ideas for paragraphs/sections of your paper as they come to your mind. You can use your Sequence and Precision later to organize and fill in the details. Help your reader understand the big picture by using Confluence and Technical Reasoning to create a strong thesis statement. Use Confluence and Sequence to connect one thought to the next with appropriate transitions.
My Interpretation:
To Enhance
Reading: Sequence and Precision go hand in hand. I would implement both in the sense that I would review the table of contents and key points before going into the reading to get a general idea of what the contents are. I read and reread information to comprehend it better. I believe of all of this taking notes would be the most beneficial in taking in new information. To Enhance Writing: With technical reasoning, definitely making sure I stay to the point and after gathering adequate information, I would only using facts that are necessary in my writing. With, breaking down my assignments and understanding what I am writing about from every angle. With confluence, thinking outside of the box and writing from a creative, original place instead of all facts and no substance would be the main point to remember.
Paul’s character relates to the central idea because he is an example of a person who was not accepted by others and fell down on a dark path of no
Paul believes that everyone around him is beneath him. He is convinced that he is superior to everyone else in his school and in his neighborhood. He is even condescending to his teachers, and shows an appalling amount of contempt for them, of which they are very aware.
Paul's father is a single parent trying to raise his children in a respectable neighborhood. He is a hard worker and trying to set a good example for his son. His father puts pressure on Paul by constantly referring to a neighbor, whom he feels is a perfect model for his son to follow.
Many times, my writing consists of a solid introduction with a good idea, but it wanes as it nears the ending and the conclusion is not effective so as to remain consistent with the proper sequence of the sentence (2-3-1). The reader of my work must distinguish the most important points of the work, understanding the general theme, while remaining captivated by a consistently interesting paper. If a primary point exists, it needs to be expanded, emphasized, or supported. The work needs to remain interesting and captivating throughout. For the reader to infer my opinion on the subject matter, I must show approval or disapproval of it in some way.
Paul surrounds himself with the aesthetics of music and the rich and wealthy, as a means to escape his true reality. In Paul’s true reality, he has a lack of interest in school. His disinterest in school stems from the alienation and isolation he has in life. This disinterest in school reflects Paul’s alienation because of the unusual attention he receives there that he doesn’t get at home. In class one day he was at the chalkboard and “his English teacher had stepped to his side and attempted to guide his hand” (Cather 1).
Pauls's Case is the story of a young man who struggles with his identity. Paul feels that he knows where he belongs, but his family and teachers refuse to support his choices. In the middle of Paul's Case, there is a switch in narration. At this point, the reader can associate with Paul and his problems. Paul struggles with both internal and external conflicts, causing him to be quite a puzzling character. From tha perspective of his family and teachers, Paul seems abnormal. From his perspective, however, he seems misunderstood.
Paul demonstrates narcissistic personality traits including an arrogant and haughty attitude. Throughout the story, Paul thinks he is above others at school, and loves whenever attention is upon him. It is evident that Paul is egocentric and feels superior to school officials as well as students. The author describes a typical day of school and states, “In one class he habitually sat with his hand shielding his eyes…in another, he made a running commentary on the lecture, with humorous intention” (Cather).
... reasons why. This strengthens my argument as I develop relevant reasons to my position while agreeing on a middle ground.
...is own intelligence. He is able to be observant even more so than the adults in his life. Paul’s eyesight is important through the book. His agency is limited by his glasses which he knows that it is. When Paul throws away his suit and has the fit he does, he realizes that he is becoming stronger. This would an example of deviating from the typical case prototype because he is able to learn these assumptions on his own. Throughout the book, Paul is able to solve problems on his own as well as having the courage to be straight forward with his dad and tell him that his eyesight was messed up by his brother. In the book, Paul has more emotions than adults think that he has. It bothers Paul that his father is all about the “Erik football dream” and that he is “like an idiot.” When Paul overcomes this stage he is able to grow on his own and become a stronger person.
...ques approaches based on the historical-critical method, the speech-act theory, and the approach of Wittgenstein. Porter’s view is that Paul, himself, had his own opinions on Jesus, God, and Christianity overall. Porter suggests using the translation theory when looking to go beyond the bible. He believes one should carefully examine the core of what is being said in scripture, and then translate it into today’s language.
1.) The practical syllogism (the theory that humans should know what is morally right in the universal-[circumstances in a general sense] and particular-[circumstances in a detailed sense]) relates to concepts such as synderesis (The basic knowledge of the universal/i.e. Love your neighbor as yourself, can also be called the primary precepts. Also knowledge of the principles of morality, i.e. The Ten Commandments can also be called the “secondary immediate precepts”, and the secondary common precepts i.e. Give lost items to proper owner), conscience (applies the knowledge from synderesis to particular situations), character (The unity of virtue/ the deliberations, decisions and action someone makes is based on what their character is), and

Writing is a process that involves at least four distinct steps: prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing. It is known as a recursive process. Prewriting is anything you do before you write a draft of your document and it is the planning phase. It includes thinking, taking notes, talking to others, brainstorming, outlining, and gathering information. Drafting occurs when you put your ideas into sentences and paragraphs. Here you concentrate upon explaining and supporting your ideas fully. The first five traits are essential for effective revision of content are Ideas, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, and Sentence Fluency. While you are revising, you might have to return to the prewriting step to develop and expand your

One of the main aspects in communicating is listening. An effective listener is one who, not only comprehends how the speaker feels but, also understands what they are stating. Building a strong connection between the speaker and the listener is one of the first steps to become a good listener. By building this connection speakers should first be in an environment with open minded listeners, it makes them feel more comfortable to state their opinions, feelings and ideas. Listeners should avoid being judgmental. The individual does not have to agree with the ideas, values or opinions of the speaker; however, to fully understand them, one must put aside their criticism. Speakers will believe that they can trust the listeners with their information when they know that they will not be judged. Miscommunication happens frequently, listene...
