Romeo and Juliet Foolishness, a lack of good sense or judgment; stupidity. Foolishness is all around us in the world, and while everyone does it, you can especially see some foolishness in young individuals. In Romeo and Juliet, we can see a lot of foolishness in the main characters. They’re too quick to make decisions, don’t think through anything, and make the worst decisions they can. So, today I will be talking about how Romeo and Juliet’s foolishness hurt themselves and the close people around them, and how they could’ve avoided making foolish decisions. They rushed to get a hidden marriage and they rushed to make a decision on how they would be together when Romeo was banished due to killing a man and Juliet was about to be forcefully married to another guy. This caused them to make a terrible quick-minute decision that they did not even communicate. Juliet faked her death and Romeo, thinking she was dead, killed himself. Then, Juliet killed herself once she found out Romeo was dead. So, in the end, all their quick last-minute decisions ended up costing them both their lives. Now, their foolishness also affected the people close to them. That day, both families lost a child. Someone who they had both loved and raised all their lives was dead in the blink of an eye. Moreover, Romeo even killed his mom because of his foolishness. Once his mother found out about Romeo’s banishment, she died due to her grief.
