When dealing with the soliloquies in the story of Hamlet it deals with a lot of psychology. This leads to our next question what is psychology? Psychology is the study of the individual mind. Sociology is the study of the group. Hamlet likes to use the institution of the aside in the soliloquy to play the mind. Using these things on knowing how to play the mind Shakespeare writes the three soliloquies in Acts one, two, and three; a theme that I think fits all of these is the theme of emotion vs. reality, or the act of disrespect. In the first act, act one, Hamlet is having a hard time figuring out why he is mad, which comes down to the theme of disrespect. In the story their are two Hamlets: big, King, daddy Hamlet, and Prince Hamlet.During the story in which big daddy being a ghost that will reappear from time and time again. How can one’s mother have her husband be murdered and not mourn for barely a day. Then go and get married to his his brother Claudius. It just seems absurd. Along with me, Prince Hamlet thinks the same thing, he is going to go through three soliloquies and in them you can really see how mad he is going.
