As of the last 10 years having an exotic animal, like reptiles as pets, has become extremely popular. Many people own them because they are truly committed into owning and caring for these types of animals. Others simply for the fact that they “look” cool and say that they own a reptile. The people that keep reptiles for this reason are a huge problem because they do not know how to care for the animal, as in provide a life for them in a way that is comfortable nor by providing the right type of care since each reptile is unique in it’s own way, like a dog or cat is. Reptiles can be just as loving, picky, and capable of sharing a bond with their human, just like our furry four legged friends can. Many people argue that nobody should be allowed …show more content…
People should be allowed to keep exotic animals, like reptiles, as pets because reptiles are more than just an animal that you keep in a 20 gallon tank, most of the animals kept as pets come from breeders. They have become more docile and domesticated and lastly, the people I’ve witnessed owning reptiles are committed to providing the correct care and life that their animal deserves. Have you ever been to the flea market or a walmart and seen a random stranger just walking around with their ball python or bearded dragon on their shoulders? Well see this person knows that owning a reptile can be more than just watching them through it’s glass tank! From my extensive research into what comes with owning any species of reptile, no two are the same. From their scales, to their patterns, and their personalities. Just like any four legged animal that we keep as pets, none of them are the same. When keeping any animal, there comes a huge responsibility since you must care for it, keep it alive, as well as giving it a comfortable and happy life. From dogs to reptiles and for some even creepy
The differences are due to the differences in environment, habits, size etc. One example is the fact that minks and humans both have lugs of similar shape but different lobes. Each of these similarities and/or differences benefit both the human and the mink, in their own unique way, with each structure having its own function. Overall, the mink is a very complex animal and so is an individual.
Each of them is different. From the shape of their eyes, the way they react to something, and those are what make each of them different and special. Paulson compares animals and humans by their similar characteristics and behaviors. Palson has used a lot of animal comparisons with characters throughout this book, but I would only use three of them in this essay. The first comparison happened on page seventy-eight of Crossing.
Should exotic snakes or other large reptiles be allowed as pets in Florida? Right now these escaped/released feral reptiles create an estimated $120 billion in environmental damage each year according to David Steen on Slates Animal Blog.
Throughout the world, wild cats, reptiles and primates live peacefully in their natural habitats. Despite this, every year more and more of these exotic animals are becoming domestic pets. Keeping exotic animals as pets is unsafe and should therefore be made illegal. They pose a risk of injury, disease and invasion of the natural environment. Some people believe that keeping a pet does not pose a risk if properly kept and trained.
Do you think that keeping exotic animals as pets should be legal? Well, I think that owning exotic animals as pets should be illegal. First, safety is a main concern for both the animals and for people. Secondly, it cost a very large amount of money to properly care for these animals; money people usually don’t have by themselves. Finally, it is against the law in many places to own these animals. Exotic animals should not be kept as pets.
I believe that other people should be allowed to go and visit hawaii and have all the great experiences that the people who live there have.
This animal is breed to be the alpha. They are loyal, loving, and funny. They love clowning around and are always willing to make their humans happy. They love being involved in everything their family does. Even though, their personality does not develop until the age of three. They can sense when their humans are unhappy. They are generally easygoing and easy to train. Training must start early to ensure proper social skills. Animal aggression is still present since fighting is in their bloodline but can be correct with proper obedience training. Separation anxiety is extremely common in this breed. They are extreme active and must get exercise everyday or they will destroy your belongings. So make sure to keep them busy. People believe that they have “lock jaw” which is nothing but a myth. Extreme determination make them appear as through they cant let go of what ever is in their
Animals that are brought to the United States and taken to someone’s home are said to have to go through the “exotic pet trade.” These animals are taken from their natural habitat, such as Australia, Brazil, and Africa and are exposed to harsh transport. Some examples of animals that are put in these conditions are parrots. They sometimes have their beaks and legs taped and are stuffed into tubes. Turtles suffer harsh conditions as well. They are trapped with tape inside their shells and shoved into small compartments along with many other turtles. These animals are put in such horrible conditions that many die before arriving at their destinations (“Exotic Animals as Pets”). These animals have to reason to be suffering because if they were left free in their natural habitat as they should be they would not have to
It is said that in order to protect the wildlife, we need to be educated about the wildlife that inhabits our planet. As humans, and the superior species on Earth, we put exotic animals, aquatic and terrestrial, in zoos or aquariums where people can go to see them to learn more about them in order to protect them. It just so happens that by putting these animals into captivity, we are causing more damage to them, just as damage is occurring in the wild and more species are becoming extinct. Animals should not be held in captivity; it does not save them from going extinct, but helps kill them off.
Having exotic animals as pets is immoral and dangerous. They endanger the community, become sick, and their owners abandon them. Each State in the USA has a different law against exotic animals; multiple allow exotic pets, some allow restriction, and few do not permit exotic pets. Even if keeping an exotic animal is illegal, some one will go against the law to have what he or she wants. You may think ‘i can take good care of an animal. It will be better off with me,’ but it won't. Every country should have and exotic animal ban and realize the hurt one is causing to these poor
Animals should not be kept in captivity for any reason unless they have been harmed and need to receive treatment but they should be released as soon as they are healthy and capable of taking care of themselves again. The use of a captive animal for research, education, or entertainment is just wrong no creature deserves to have their life taken away for our benefit. Would you want to be captured and put in a tiny box or a fake little ecosystem, or abused and tortured because apparently that’s the only possible way to train an animal? How about just knowing that your real life is over and now all you get to do is put on a show for people? That is what we put these animals through for our entertainment we tear children away from their parents. In what way is that right? It’s just like kidnapping we put humans in jail for that but only when it’s another human. People act like just because they aren’t human that its ok and they lie to themselves telling themselves that its okay and that the animal will be taken care of, fed, and have a nice little “fake” forest or desert to live in. Just think of it as having a zoo full of humans, or stealing other humans to make profit or teach someone something new by doing something totally wrong and unethical.
There are billions of animals in captivity around the world. These animals are in zoos, breeding centers, and research laboratories. All those animals lead to out lash because of the stress of being in a small confinement habitat. Is it ethical to keep animals in captivity for research, breeding, or for our enjoyment? Over the years keeping animals in captive has not changed in safety and the well-being of the animal.
What do you think about zoos? Children standing in front of big cages, feel excited to see those lovely animals and share the joy with their parents. Parents will then read aloud the information on the signs to educate the children. At lunch hour, animals in bonds wait for delicious dishes provided by zoo keepers and live happily ever after. It seems that zoos are really a heaven to us and animals. It gives us a place to keep close to nature, saving those little pitiful things in wild. Unluckily, that is not the truth we wished. Indeed, zoos magnify their contribution to educational circle, exaggerating the importance of role play in conservation work, in order to cover those disgraceful secrets behind.
Zoos are an unsuitable environment for wild animals and should, therefore, be abolished. Firstly, zoo animals are kept in a very confined area compared with their vast natural habitat. Secondly, breeding programmes are far less successful than zoos claim. Thirdly, zoo animals are exposed to many diseases and other dangers.
First, we shall discuss the similarities these two creatures share. One of the most obvious similarities between these two animals is that they both have hair and are domesticated animals kept as pets. They require love and affection from their owner, and return that love and affection if owners show it towards them. Another thing is
