Objectives The objectives of my work will be to perform ethnographic research in a business setting that focuses on technology development. This will be accomplished by working on a cross-disciplinary team to develop and perform surveys to assist decisions makers with determining what direction to take when developing new softwares and technology. This work will be done with organizations such as Microsoft and Intel who are actively working to create new products and services for their customers. The objective of my work will be:

I will be working with a team to determine what questions need to be answered and determining meaning of the results of our work. This work will require me to work on a timescale that is much shorter than what anthropologists would generally consider ideal. As such, this will require my team and I to conduct interviews and surveys that will still yield relevant results despite having time restrictions. In these situations it is imperative to conduct research that will result in accurate information. The majority of the responsibility for creating relevant interview and survey questions may primarily fall to me as well as the job of analyzing the results of our research.
Timeline
The timeline for this plan is difficult to determine as it will vary depending on the individual involved. I my case, I expect that I will be working as a member of a team for an expanse of at least two years time. This will most likely result in my gaining the experiences necessary to become the leader in these types of team settings. I do not see myself seeking to advance to a higher level that a group leader during the course of my career.
