Essential Skills
Oral Communication: I use this throughout the day, because I need to talk to the patients so that I can earn their trust and they can be at ease when around me.
Document Use: I have to fill, sort, and file patient charts after me and the corresponding physiotherapist have worked on a patient during the time of my stay.
Reading Text: I have to understand and work on the anatomy textbook Kelly has given me, so I can have a greater comprehension of why a patient is feeling pain and where to treat it.
Work Habits
Working Safely: I make sure that after I finish with the medical equipment I clean them and put them back to where they originally where.

The essential skills and work habits as listed above are the weaknesses that Kelly has found in my daily volunteering. She has noticed that I don't smile very often, and that I should engage in more conversations with my co-workers. She also observes that I don't always call when I am going to be away, or warn her about the days in which I will be absent. And finally she is very aware that at times I do not plan my day and just improvise at time. I am working to improve these short comings everyday and constantly ask for feedback. Other experiences that could further develop my essential skills and work habits include: volunteering, participating with a sports team, and acquiring a job. Who Do I Want To Become?
My essential skills and work habits prepare me for the career I want to pursue because they are transferable. I wish to enter the medical field and with that comes necessities that are required of you to learn. What I am talking about of course is the ability to communicate orally, be able to work with a team, be reliable, provide customer service, and be able to plan and organize.
