Who was to blame for James Gatsbys downfall? Was it Tom, Daisy, Wilson and Myrtle, society and time period, or Gatsby himself. The downfall of Gatsby started when he moved back to New York to find the love of his life, Daisy Buchanan. Daisy married to Tom Buchanan and has a child with him. Long before Daisy married Tom, Gatsby and Daisy had a little rendezvous themselves. Where they fell in love as youngsters. Gatsbys downfall of his life was his own and Daisy’s he did not take into consideration any of the consequences or circumstances that would have come with his choosing of pursuing Daisy, and Daisy her social status more important to her than her love life. Gatsby wasn’t good enough for Daisy because he was poorGatsby threw many parties that everyone loved everyone enjoyed the parties that he was holding.
