Wake up, cook, feed children, clean, cook, sleep. That was a typical day for women while their husbands were at work making money for the family. All of that changed once WWI started and the men went to fight, women had to work while the men were in the war. Large numbers of women were recruited into jobs vacated by men who had gone to fight in the war. The high demand for weapons resulted in the munitions factories becoming the largest single employer of women during WWI. Even though there were negative impacts on America due to the fact that lots of people died but it was mostly positive impacts on America. Women in WWI positively impacted America because of them working in the factories, making changes in society, and gaining suffrage.
