Samsung Electronics being one of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers, it is also a top electronic company in South Korea. Samsung electronics as the Samsung group's main enterprise, has so far set up displays, CDMA system in China as well as mobile phones, printers, fax machines and appliances 11 joint venture factories, one R&D center, three sales companies and a service center, with more than 11000 employees. Samsung comes up with many kinds of consumer devices, including DVD players, digital TVs, and digital still cameras; computers, color monitors, flash memory, and display drivers. There are communications devices ranging from wireless handsets and smartphones to networking gear. The company, which is the chief member of Samsung Group, also makes microwave ovens, refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines. Nearly half of sales come from the Asia/Pacific region. Their aim is to develop new and innovative products to appeal to the consumers to keep progressing in the market and to retain customers with the brand.

Target Audience: market targeted for all everyone, mainly teenagers.
Samsung Galaxy IV is targeted for existing customers and new or non-brand loyal consumers of competitors so as to achieve 5-10% increase in their market shares.
The major target audiences will be the existing Samsung customers, convince those customer who is using obsolete merchandises to upgrade to the latest Samsung Galaxy IV, with a target of converting 80% of existing Galaxy users to the latest version. This would be at the renewal of their new contracts with a reduced number of early upgrades.
