Reframing or reconstructing your mind, is when you just change everything about the way you think. Most people only think about their views, how they see the world, how they will react to certain things if they were to occur. NLP is all about changing this. After drowning yourself in NLP books and readings, you will realize this. It opens your eyes to another world. It helps you become more susceptible to others ideas, feelings and emotions throughout a conversation. It gives you the ability to analyse conversations and respond to them accordingly, so that people hear what they want to hear, whether you mean it or not, which is a good thing and a bad thing. It is good because it can help you get out of tough situations in a conversation. However, …show more content…
The first thing you have to do to become successful in this area of basic NLP is to just eliminate how you would feel and focus on the other person. Focus on how you think they would feel if you said something. If you think they will act mortified to what you said, you probably should not say it. If you do not know how they would react, you should say anything just to be on the safe side. Of course, if you know they would react in a positive way, you should go ahead and proceed with what you are going to say. However, people get stuck on what they should be looking for when analyzing a conversation. You should be looking avoid questions that require a yes or no answer. Usually people who ask questions that require this type of response are trying to trap you in a hole (leading to a lie, etc.). A good way to go about this, if you do get into this situation is you; first, neutralize the conversation by diverting it to something else. If that is not possible, you should try to generalize your answer. Instead of saying, you, say something like “well, generally” or “my friends say” this diverts the answer so that you are not speaking from your own
Reserpine reduces the noradrenaline supplies in peripheral organs. It also reduces the cardiovascular response to sympathomimetic amines. When reserpine is taken the postganglionic sympathetic nerves are not able to transfer impulses through the neuroeffector junctions.
I feel that sometimes people just know how to think how they feel and they can’t convey it quite clearly through a normal conversation, but it sure does get easy with the Internet language. There are times where I use
Reframing is used to influence clients by using non-directive and directive practices and procedures to get the client to see their situation or problem in a different light. For example, if a client gets anger every time then you can tell him or her to try to take 10 deep breaths whenever they get anger.
“Hey, thanks for telling me,” with a soft voice and light smile. Does it sound familiar to you? Perhaps the response seems good and polite on the surface, but people might be very frustrating deep inside. Truly, the burden of societal expectation forbids people to share their true feeling and opinion, therefore a genuine interaction among people becomes very rare. Although the U.S. government encourages gender equality, but the society remains the same; in reality, society has a higher expectation on women over men.
In the course of this semester of writing, I grew more than I ever had in my ability to write well. I remember on the first day of class several other students were talking about how hard this writing professor is. I was a bit worried and even thought about switching to an easy professor for a guarantee A so I can get a 4.0. Now, I am grateful that I chose to decide to work hard for a 4.0 instead. Even though I may not get it, I am still glad I stayed because for once, I learned and became a better writer. I can see that my knowledge of conventions definitely improved from last semester. I really loved the feedback for my assignments, since it allows me to realize what I need to improve on and what I should keep doing. Unlike the previous semester, the writing professor only told us our grade on the very first assignment after two months. There were no feedback on how I could improve either, so I had no idea if I was having trouble with anything. Prior to this course, I always had trouble writing sentences and organizing them in such a way that flows and delivers my idea well. I also rarely outline or plan out how I will write a paper too, and even when I did, it was very vague. Out of the five learning outcomes, I grew the most in rhetoric knowledge and writing process from the reading responses and 4 assignment.
Writing essays was never my forte, it just never came easy to me like it would to others. Since other subjects came easy to me and I had to focus more than others on writing, I had a negative attitude toward the process as a whole. During this summer semester, I was able to grow as a writer, and gain a more positive attitude toward how I write and a better feel for writing in college. Writing a paper is a process in which there are many different stages. In high school I would never write outlines or any sort of pre planning work. Other struggles I encountered in my writing were my theses, and framing quotes.
In the case of the reframing method, it is imperative that the counselor gets him/herself acquainted with these two methods and it is the counsellor job to determine which order change is necessary for a particular given case because t situations are unique from each other therefore each situation requires different plans . In doing so, it will help counsellor not only to be professional but most importantly to be good stewards of the flocks
Initial Reflective Essay When I first thought of what I wanted to do with my life after college, the first thing I thought of was helping people. The next step in deciding what I wanted to do with my life was to examine how I could accomplish this goal. I started pondering and I was thinking about how much I love to take care of my body. Health care and personal hygiene has always been an important factor in my life. So I decided to major in Health Sciences.
The Wart is basically an eight year old kid living in a palace with Sir Ector, and his “brother” Kay. Wart is somewhat looked down upon, while his brother Kay is expected to one day become a brave and noble knight. As Wart goes through life he meets Merlyn. Merlyn is a wizard who transforms Wart into a series of different types of animals. The Wart thinks its all fun and games, but only Merlyn knows; that it’s going to count for so much more. Throughout all of the transformations, Wart is taught how to keep peace between people, show compassion, and how to keep his power under control.
As a child, going to school felt like a necessary part in my day, mainly based on the ideas my parents raised me on, but on special days in which we could finally leave the classroom is when I felt most excited to learn. As years passed I entered middle school and eventually high school and my excitement felt as if it disappeared form the routine. I felt it was just my childhood escaping me but I realized why I wasn’t happy with classes. In elementary I would have designated days to do something outside of the class room at least three times a month so it always felt sort of relevant. In middle school I would have two classes which didn’t feel like a boring classroom and that would be physical education and woodshop, while in high school I would always feel trapped in a classroom with a bland glare from the teacher
Critics like Waugh assert that by calling the reader’s attention to novelistic frames, metafiction “lays bare the conventions of realism” and is a way of “tracing the outline of the frame through which we look at [fiction]” (18, 27). To be sure, metafiction uses the literary devices of parody and irony to allow the reader to recognise and critique literary or social conventions. However, just as non-metafictional texts naturalise the literary frames and conventions they use, some critics have noticed that metafiction also “creates a new illusion, even as it claims to denounce the one on which the ‘traditional realistic’ novel is based” (Hutcheon, Narcissistic Narrative 45). This illusion is one that assumes that in a metafictional text, “frame” and “frame-break” (Waugh 142), or convention and the breaking of convention, are clearly delineated. This would imply that metafiction becomes an almost transparent medium through which we can examine convention and fiction. However, this argument is unpersuasive as metafictional texts are ultimately still composed of language, and have their own conventions such as self-reflexivity and parody, which may or may not be commented upon in these texts. To expose the frames of metafiction, it is clear that a “metalanguage” is required, a “language that functions as a signifier” (Waugh 4) to the language of metafiction. This is what I call meta-metafiction.
The literature review comprises of definition of rework, describing rework as waste in construction, identification of possible factors causing rework based on different rework models and comparison of percentage of cost of rework from previous research.
This means telling the other person how you feel as a result of what has occurred. Describing one’s feelings is not always easy, but it is the safest and healthiest way to deal with feelings.
Perceptions, beliefs, knowledge, truth, reality; these terms are all part of the larger framework of critical thinking. We deal with and use all of these concepts daily. Some concepts and events in life are not given much thought, others given more deep reflection and analysis. I will discuss how I utilize these parts of the thought process daily with decision-making and how I try to bring them all together in truly critical thinking to delineate perception from reality.
A refractory material is the type of materials that maintain its strength at high temperatures. ASTM C71 definition for refractories is "...non-metallic materials which own chemical and physical properties that causes them to be applicable for structures, or as a part of the systems that are exposed to heat above 1,000 °F (811 K; 538 °C). (ASTM Volume 15.01)
