Statement of the Problem
RC cars are usually hard to control if you are using one hand. This difficulty occurs because of its design and shape. I plan on making a hand glove that can control RC cars using just one hand with the movement of your fingers.
Purpose of the Study
Normal RC cars usually take two hands to navigate and drive the car using the remote. By developing this hand glove, the requirement for the control over the RC car would be reduced to just one hand rather than two. This hand glove reduce the energy and human effort required to get the car in motion.
Background/History
Although the first remote-controlled cars arrived on shelves in the mid-1960s, early engineers started adding motors to small plastic models in the 1950s. Even though small nitro methane fuel powered engines were available in the 1940s, and radio control technology was used in World War II, radio control was not truly commercially practicable until the arrival of the transistor. As transistors revolutionized electronics, smaller, more simpler and less power-intensive radio control systems appeared....
Different collisions took place throughout the process of the Rube Goldberg Machine. This included Elastic and Inelastic collisions. An example of an Elastic Collision in our Rube Goldberg Machine is when the car went down the track and collided with another car. Elastic collisions are defined as collisions with conservation or no loss of momentum. This is proven by the first car which transferred its momentum to the second car thus momentum was perfectly conserved. An Inelastic Collision is seen in our project ...
“Short track racing is always been a way of life and not just a hobby” Bryan Clauson. There's always been people into dirt racing as it is personally my favorite form of racing. This sport isn't all to safe as there has been a massive tragedy in 2016 of Bryan Clauson as he died at the Belleville Midget Nationals. This tragedy sent a shockwave through all sports from dirt to asphalt racing. There is a commitment when you strap into that racecar and that is there's no guarantee that your going to get out so there's always been losses and historical moments in dirt racing. There isn't always tragedies there's famous moments like the 2016 Dream at eldora when a 19 year old kid Bobby Pierce Jr. won the world's most famous dirt race. 2017 will bring new stars like Rico Abreu which has already committed to dirt from nascar and has already won 2 golden drillers from the world's most prestigious midget race, chili bowl nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma .
I use that rawlings glove every day of my life and couldn’t imagine my amazing life without it. I do really love that glove but one things for sure! I love the person who bought it for me
Mrs. Jones’ findings on the Portable hand controls confirm that they are an excellent product because of their affordability, they are easy to use, and for safety both on the road and environmentally. The Portable hand controls are definitely a great solution for independence when a disability would otherwise hinder you from driving.
As we pull into the racetrack I look around. There are a ton of trailers which means a ton of cars, which also means a ton of people. Aside from all the diversity we all love the same thing, racing. We all unite together, we are all there for the same reason and we all have the same goal. To win the Kyle Larson Outlaw Kart Showcase. One day, two Nascar drivers, three classes, over 225 cars. The biggest outlaw kart race in history to ever be held, and I’m apart of it. I can feel the tension of everyone around me, whispers of people talking about all their set-up ¨secrets¨
Well first you going to need to build a dragster car preferably out of a wooded block like the ones you put under doors to hold it open. Okay now you have you model dragster car now you’re going to need CO2. The way you test your car is to get a long track about 3-4 inches wide and 12 feet long. You’ll also need string to hold on the track to keep it going straight. Finally you will need a hammer or something to trigger the co2 to explode. In doing this it will propel the car forward at a max speed of 70 miles per hour! Finally you will need some friends who also have a dragster car so you have someone to race against. For some extra fun you can get a ramp and place it at the end of the track to send your dragster car flying! Or for some extra extra fun tie a balloon to your dragster car to see how and how long it flies through the
One problem is the maps inside the cars. While the maps have included stoplights, road turns, intersections, and a few crosswalks, the cars cannot detect temporary stop signs and other road signs. These computer driven cars cannot read into unusual situations either, such as split second decisions in the event of a car crash, avoiding roadkill or potholes, or stopping for a pedestrian at an unofficial crosswalk. Those are just a few examples. Also, when driverless cars become popular on roads, they will be on the road with the manually driven cars, and the chances of a crash will not decrease. Another big safety concern is the arising problem of the ability to hack into cars. Some tests have been run on regular cars already, proving that a manually driven car could be hacked from an outside source. When a car was hacked, the hacker was able to crash the car by applying the gas, applying brakes, or steering, without being inside the car. If manually driven cars can be hacked, questions arise: What about the computer driven autonomous cars? How can they be protected from being
Tires are the most important part of race or any car for that mater. (Physics of Racing) After all they are the only thing that is contact with the ground! Tires work by having a high coefficient of friction. Some slicks have a friction coefficient grater then 1! (Physics of Racing) Typical normal street tires have coefficient of about .5 to .6 . In physics we learned that friction was equal to mew times the normal force. Since race cars are typical much lighter then normal cars, they use tricks to increase the downward force on the tires. Some drag tires run really low pressure, other drag cars tune the car to lift the front wheels to put all the weight on the rear tires. Indy cars use a wing to generate down force, and ventures to suck the car to the ground. (How to Make Your Car Handle)
ROVs are underwater technology robots that are remotely controlled. They are good for getting you information that you can’t get from other underwater robots. Underwater robots such as ROVs are very important because they provide information about things underwater that we had no knowledge of before. And they can provide measurements of the sea floor. I think that we should keep ROVs because they are very important, but there are things that I don’t agree about ROVs like they are harder to control. They are remotely controlled, but you have to learn how to control the remote controls to keep the ROVs running. ROVs are absolutely valuable because they can travel down through the ocean/sea floors when humans can't, There is less of a risk for a human to be hurt in the process of trying to figure out facts on the ocean/sea floors and also They can provide more information than what a human could could provide.
Before the benefits of the implementation of Haptic Interface to the car checker application can be explain, an explanation of the background information about Haptic Interfaces must be done. Cory Janssen of Techpodia.com defines Haptic Interfaces as “a system that allows a human to interact with a computer through bodily sensations and movements.”(Paragraph1). The definition refers to accompanying the tactile senses in human computer interaction, because for example, pressing a button on a touchpad might be made to feel like you are touching a keyboard. Haptic interfaces are now becoming a greater part in our lives than in the past, in which Haptic interfaces where not talked about as much. One such example from William Harris of howstuffworks.com is the “CyberGrasp System,” from Immersion Corporation, in which it is described as “This device fits over the user's entire hand like an exoskeleton and adds resistive force feedback to each finger. Five actuators produce the forces, ...
Now they also have a application for driverless cars that allows the driver to operate the steering, accelerator and pedal with just a few strokes of the phone's touchscreen all while standing outside the car, in Germany computer scientist has created an application that turns the iPhone into a remote controlled car. Unfortunately the application does not work for every car, but this application is very helpful, you can be far away from the car and still control it. Some driverless cars have buttons to control or turn the car on and off.

Cars are now have the technology to help drivers stay in their lane, avoid collisions, and have become very advanced over the years. And these kinds of features are not just on luxury cars, they also come on models that everyone can afford. The advancement of technology in cars has come a long way since Henry Ford first invented them. These features are there to keep the driver and other people on the road safe. The first driverless car should be available for the public very soon, since so many companies are working on a model.
Cars are the ultimate symbol of independence and individualism. They offer more than freedom. No other man made creation but car fulfills a man’s ego. Technology has been the evidence of how cars have evolved for about more than a century now. From a first car packing a single cylinder 958cc, 0.75hp engine to today’s most powerful 8000cc W16, 1300bhp Veyron. We live in such an engineering savvy era where even an increase of few grams in a vehicle’s weight means going back to the drawing board to get unerring dynamic performance. And for these exuberant reasons, mechanical engineering was a mere choice rather than a chance for me.
