Argumentative Essay Outline
ROVs are underwater technology robots that are remotely controlled. They are good for getting you information that you can’t get from other underwater robots. Underwater robots such as ROVs are very important because they provide information about things underwater that we had no knowledge of before. And they can provide measurements of the sea floor. I think that we should keep ROVs because they are very important, but there are things that I don’t agree about ROVs like they are harder to control. They are remotely controlled, but you have to learn how to control the remote controls to keep the ROVs running. ROVs are absolutely valuable because they can travel down through the ocean/sea floors when humans can't, There is less of a risk for a human to be hurt in the process of trying to figure out facts on the ocean/sea floors and also They can provide more information than what a human could could provide.
The first reason ROVs ARE VALUABLE is to help get information on underwater issues that cannot be obtained from other sources. Traditionally, humans have investigated the ocean from

ships on its surface. But to really understand what it's like inside, one needs to be inside it. Critics might argue that ROVs are not valuable and the information is not accurate. According to the writers at livescience.com, "Technology has played a role in exploring and understanding the ocean for thousands of years, and it will continue to do so," Also according to the writers at livescience.com,”Traditionally, humans have investigated the ocean from ships on its surface. But to really understand what it's like inside, one needs to be inside it.” And according to the writers of livescience.com they also added, "It's hard to see what's going on unless we can stay with a body of water." The second reasons ROVs are the best way to get information about the ocean/seas is because ROVs are less of a risk.
Even though it might cost a lot of money, there is less of a risk in using ROVs which are remotely controlled than using something that is human controlled while risking the human's life. Critics might argue that ROVs are not useful and the information is not accurate. According to the writers at livescience.com “The ROV contains sonar equipment, video cameras and still cameras.” And the cameras could be useful for taking pictures and videos of the ocean/seas. Another opinion from livescience.com “Some aspects of ocean exploration are best left to robots.” Because according to livescience.com “To monitor the oceans for extended periods, scientists need instruments capable of sampling the marine milieu
continuously.” The final reason ROVs are absolutely valuable is that they provide more information and faster. Since ROVs are easier to control because they are remotely controlled which means that they can get the job done faster. Even though they are a lot of money ROVs are worth it if you can get information that was unknown before. According to livescience.com "The ocean is big, it's dynamic, and it changes a lot," and we can see when it’s changing by using the ROVs sonar equipment, video cameras and still cameras. Also from the writers at livescience.com “Autonomous underwater vehicles, or AUVs, are another vitally important class of oceangoing robots. These vehicles can navigate vast distances and collect scientific data without any human control.”. Another opinion from Should shipwrecks be left alone? "Everybody loves gold and everybody has a bit of treasure hunter in them, but for me the most exciting thing I ever found was a 400-year-old arquebus (hook gun). It was like bringing history back to life." and if you use ROVs you could find more things because ROVs can stay with a body of water. In conclusion, even if it is often argued that remotely operated vehicles are useful for underwater research, they are valuable and very useful, They are good for getting you information that you can’t get from other underwater robots.
As they are at the top of the food chain, sharks play a very important role in the oceans in a way that an average fish does not. Sharks keep populations of other fish healthy and in proper proportion for their ecosystem. By preying on the old, sick or slower fish in a population, they prevent the spread of disease and prevent outbreaks that could be devastating. According to Ransom Myers from Shark savers, “sharks may be gone within the next decades if we continue to kill them, resulting in the loss of important foods that we depend on for survival, causing a marine ecosystem imbalance.” At the same time, I accept that shark nets could be useful, especially in shark infested areas that have been renowned as spots where many attacks have occurred, but I still believe, as you would, that scientists should spend more resources on working out why it is becoming more common for sharks to be entering shallower waters, looking for food – namely seals, who just happen to look like

The RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her voyage from Southampton, UK to New York City ,the sinking of the Titanic caused the deaths of more than 1,500 people. Amongst the research into the Titanic besides the shipwreck itself, was to see the social classes that were present on the Titanic. Before the shipwreck itself there isn’t much to go off of to see the socio-economics of the people who were boarded on this ship so Cameron and a team of researchers went on an expedition. “He developed and piloted a new class of nimble, fiber-spooling robots that brought back never before images...
When we look at the classic Car image, it reminds us of the experiences that surround our daily lives. The Classic Car image is in black and white which reminds us of the picture realities that held sway some decades ago. I do not readily understand all that transpired in the wreck of this car. However, some points are quite easy to note. It shows that the beauty of every vehicle is not just in its outward design but in its safety features. This shot was taken from one of the vehicles parked in the Alaska Car Museum. There are so many stories that surround the cars in this iconic location.
Review: The opportunity and endeavor of exploring the Earth’s oceans can reap great rewards for mankind and unravel many of the mysteries that the Earth has left to discover.
The Mustang – Camaro rivalry has been around for a very long time. The Ford Mustang started production in 1964. It was marketed as an affordable sports car and was immediately successful, becoming the fastest selling car in history. The Chevrolet Camaro first went on sale in 1966, and was actually designed to be a competitor to Fords new car(Edelstein). Right away there was a massive rivalry for the best American “pony” car. Over fifty years have passed, which is the best car today?
Imagine a lush underwater place. Beautiful structures colorful animals and places that would never have been thought of before. In reality that's not what it really looks like, really the ocean is a desolate place that is barren like a desert. Many marine species have been lost by as much as 49%.(seeker) A big part of that reason is because of coral bleaching which causes as stated above a decline in species that depend on the coral as there home. Coral bleaching is a serious problem that could cause problems for everyone if we don’t fix it.
Do you comprehend what “glittering generalities” is? Glittering generalities is a vague word or phrase used to evoke positive feelings rather than to convey information to others. The type of advertisement EvoShield is using is glittering generalities. It’s a black background with a yellow EvoShield logo in the middle and right under it in capital white letters it states ¨Protective Gear For Elite Performance.” EvoShield used that advertisement to convince customers that their product is the best product out and they should buy it. “Protective Gear For Elite Performance” states that EvoShield’s gear/equipment will improve performance and limit errors that you or other equipment will commit.
Several military robotic automation systems already operate at the level where the human is still in charge and responsible for the deployment of lethal force, but not in a directly supervisory manner. The Phalanx system for Aegis-class cruisers in the Navy is designed to be the last line of defense against anti-ship missiles. The gun mount moves with rapid precision. The system takes a low amount of input from the ship, making it capable of functioning despite potential damage to the ship. There are several settings for the Phalanx system, with the final fail safe setting of “casualty” that will defend the ship from air attacks without human selection of targets. The MK 69 encapsulated torpedo (CAPTOR) sea mine system was the U.S. Navy's standard anti-submarine mine during the Cold War, having enough computer power t...
“Often extinctions in the ocean occur at the same time as those on land. Then again, the ice age extinctions lost many big animals, but not many sea-fearing ones,” Robert T. Bakker. In 1941, electronic navigation systems were developed for the military to bomb locations more precisely, ocean cameras were also designed to help the military spot enemy submarines. Remotely operated vehicles were created to help the marines and the navy in 1941. Ocean exploration helped the military defeat enemies, as it still does today.
...me disadvantages in becoming a marine biologist, but the advantages outweigh them. The education is extensive, but it is definitely worth it. The education and training that is needed is not as much as some occupations, though. Since only 70% of the earth's ocean has been explored. If I become a marine biologist, I may be able to explore that.
Are drones a good machine to use in warfare? Drones are unpiloted armed machines, controlled by experts (usually soldiers) thousands of miles away. While people might believe that the use of drone in war will benefit the United States and other countries, they are actually more harmful to people, both mentally and physically. By defining the necessity of people the recognize the harms of drones in people, by refuting counter arguments of those who believe the use of drones is beneficial, and by presenting information and arguments from documents, it will be obvious from the information presented that drones are not the right way to go, and they will be harmful instead of beneficial for people.
