Recommended: Statement to stop shark finning

Sharks are known as one of the most fearsome creatures that end innocent peoples' lives with no mercy, however, there is a large amount of information that civilians do not know about them. This year alone, sharks killed a total of twelve humans worldwide. On the contrary, this is compared to a killer amount of "100 million sharks that were killed this year by the actions of humans" ("Shark Finning"). In addition to these startling numbers, the killing of sharks actually damage our ecosystem just because of this known persona that all sharks are wicked and not help in any way towards the environment. There are quite a lot of positive factors and interesting facts about sharks that make them appealing towards learning more about these majestic creatures. Overall, it is important to feature interesting facts about sharks because of how society displays a stereotypical flaunt of sharks, yet there are respectably well factors of sharks and their input in the dark sea.
With the addition of sharks anatomy, they have quite complex body parts than compared to simple bony fish, which can show a lot about the characteristics of sharks. Starting with gills, sharks "contain five to seven slits of gills on each side of their head" ("Shark Anatomy") all serving an important purpose for them to live. When the water goes through their gills the oxygen is absorbed by the blood in the gills and they move throughout towards the rest of the body. Since larger sharks contain more slits of gills for their bodies than compared to smaller sharks the body has to work less to oxidant the body. The important factors that sharks give to our education and environment is outstanding, yet also having an open mind about the dangers they are facing now our future generations can hopefully see a living shark or hear about them. By learning some interesting facts about these creatures can hopefully make you more participating towards knowing more about what they go through in life. Even if it is searching up on the internet about Shark Finning can go a long way. Luckily, many organization have recognized the dangers that sharks are in now and they are trying their best to ban slaughtering Sharks. Lastly, our relationship with sharks have not been on best terms lately, however, if by learning more about them can actually save a whole ecosystem, it is worth a try to lend a hand.
