The Dhammapada is a unique book that addresses about Buddha speaking upon how to free one’s self from suffering based on the eight fold paths. The book talks about how we live life and how to learn from our suffering to prosper without any suffering in the afterlife. There are many proverbs of wisdom, similes, metaphors, and analogies where one can learn from Buddha’s teachings to live a better life without enduring any more pain. What I have learned the most coming from the eight fold paths are the following; right speech and right concentration.

“I would rather have a short life with width rather than a narrow one with length.” These and many other words are said by Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusain ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Sīnā or in simply Latin, Avicenna (Afnan ). While many people remember polymaths such as Francis Bacon or Leonardo da Vinci many Islamic polymaths are not recognized including Avicenna. Another disadvantage for nations in the SADC is the lack of jobs available and growing unemployment rate. Southern African development community SADC business law handbook states, “Unemployment remains high in the region, with less than 49 per cent of the labour force engaged in modern sector employment i.e. non-agricultural wage employment” (Publications, 2007, p. 21). While this has been a goal set in place there obviously has been continued stifled success as AIDS and other deadly diseases have overcome the nations in the SADC and individuals are unable to continue to work and live the lives they once desired. The new goal could be to educate the nations on prevention and take more action to help those who are suffering and find jobs for

Zakat is the third pillars of Islam, it is obligatory upon all Muslims to give part of their wealth and assets once it reaches al-nisab (the minimum assigned) on annual basis or once harvested to the eight categories of people as specified in al-Quran (At Taubah: 60).
