Kevin Wayne Durant was born on September 29, 1988. He was born and raised in in the great city of Washington D.C which I think he should go and play for the Washington Wizards. He was born in Suitland, Maryland just outside of the nation's capital. He was one of four children of Wanda and Wayne Pratt. Kevin grew up loving sports very much also his brothers and sister Brianna, Rayvonne, and Anthony. His grandma always told him that is height was a blessing. He got picked on a lot for always being the tallest person in the class. His mom always asked if he could be at the end of the line so he wouldn’t stand out as much. Both of his Parents worked for the government his mom being a postal employee and his father Wayne working for the Library of Congress. Kevin was a big fan of sports especially the teams in the Baltimore area. One time for a tournament he played in he was voted MVP in which after that award he got to meet one of his biggest idols Michael Jordan. When he was at the age of eleven he played for his first AAU team the Jaguars which he scored 18 points in the second half after that game he said to his Mom that he was going to play in the NBA. During that time he became friends with Michael Beasley who went on also to play in the NBA. Everyday they hung out also with Chris Braswell with all three of those players they formed the jaguars core. Kevin and his coach Taras wanted to get the best out of his abilities and they decided he could not play any pick up games for his safety so he wouldn’t get hurt. Kevin was a practice crazy everyday in the summer he would practice 8 hours a day. As Kevin went on to high school it paid off he played varsity when he was a freshman for Montrose Christian, Rockville in Maryland. He was named player of the year
