Michael Jordan was born on February 17, 1963. His family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, when he was a little kid.He was the fourth kid out of the five children, He has 2 older brothers, 1 older sister and 1 younger sister. He tried out for the varsity basketball team his sophomore year but he was cut from the team because he was too short and too small to play.
Jordan enrolled at the University of North Carolina in 1981 and joined the basketball team. In 1982 the team won the NCAA Division I championship. He played very well upon his return from his injury. Michael set a record with 63 points in a playoff game.
The third season Michael’s career he recovered completely from his injury. He was the first other than Wilt Chamberlain to score 3,000 points in a single season.
