It's illegal in 74 countries to be in a homosexual relationship, and punishable by death in 13 countries. Homosexuality should be legal everywhere because it's not a choice and they shouldn't be punished for walking down the street with their loved one. Homosexual couples help adopt kids because they can't create kids of their own. The amount of open homosexuals is growing and will outnumber the amount of heterosexuals, which would cause a decrease in population. Homosexuality should be legal because it isn't a choice, denying someone the right to be homosexual is discriminatory, and homosexuality isn't a sin.

Discrimination comes in many forms. We can be discriminated on the basis of religion, skin color, gender, race, age, and sexual orientation, to name a few. “A lack of policies and practices that affirm and support LGBT youth—and a failure to implement protections that do exist—means that LGBT students nationwide continue to face bullying, exclusion, and discrimination in school, putting them at physical and psychological risk and limiting their education.” (my.hrw.org) Young homosexual individuals all over the world receive hate from family, friends, peers, or others causing many to commit, or think about committing, suicide. Homosexuals can marry in every state, just not to the same gender. In the U.S., many states say that it’s legal to marry an individual of the same gender but some states still say that they cannot marry, or refuse to give them a marriage license. This year Peru passed laws stating that all homnosexual relationships must be recognized and registered. In Peru, Scotland, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Britain, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Uruguay, and parts of the United States, homosexual marriage is legal. Homosexuality is a human right that supersedes the laws of sovereign nations. “The court ruled that the denial of marriage licenses to same-sex couples and the refusal to recognise those marriages performed in other jurisdictions violates the Due Process and the Equal Protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.” (Wikipedia) In countries, such as parts of Africa, ban homosexual acts and many punish the acts with death.
