There are many books in the world that many people love. Great books like Freak the Mighty and Giver. Some people would agree that some books are better than the others like Freak the Mighty. I would recommend reading Freak the Mighty more than other books because of it’s all around great story. There are the interesting moments, the immersive setting, characters, and details, and the fascinating plot. Rodman Philbrick, the author, does a great job making Freak the Mighty come to life.
Freak the Mighty is a very well written book and one of the things that makes it so great and why you should read it is because of all the exceptionally captivating moments in the book. Books like the Giver are captivating, but in Giver they are serious all the time. There is always the right amount of action, humor, and suspense in Freak the Mighty. The book is very memorable probably because how it is realistic and doesn’t always have a happy ending. Freak and Max are both characters that are very good yet have flaws. Many moments in the book have you either on the edge of your seat or laughing so hard you can’t breathe. “Expel the object! Regurgitate, you big moron!” this Is one of Freak the Mighty’s smaller but very funny moments quoted from pg. 27.

The descriptive details and scenery are one of the other many things that makes Freak the Might better and different from other books.
Freak uses a large variety of words from his large vocabulary “MASSIVES, fat heads who assume that television tells the truth” Another quote from Freak located on pg. 165. The author portrays Freak as a smart aleck, genius with a birth defect. He describes Max as a big, dumb, brute that doesn’t believe how strong he is, or if he even has a brain at all. The way Rodman Philbrick describes everything happening is very immersive. It feels as if you are witnessing everything and Max is telling you the story from his perspective. Other books don’t do that or just don’t do it nearly as
well. Freak the Mighty has a somewhat peculiar plot. One day a boy, Freak, moves back into Max’s neighborhood. Freak is a genius, but has a birth defect making him not grow, Max is very tall but dumb. The two become friends and go on adventures. The plot is very interesting and there are many events that turn the story around massively. The story builds up very slowly as you go along. The plot makes sense using the background of each character and using flashbacks to tell some of the story. Some say that Freak the Mighty is very short lived, but it’s not how long the book is, it’s about what’s inside of what is there. Quality not quantity and Freak the Mighty does this very well.
Other authors (all of these authors write mystery/thriller novels as well) have praised the book as well. These authors include: Karin Slaughter, Nelson DeMille, Douglas Preston, and James Patterson. This book alone has over a hundred five star reviews on Amazon. Not bad for an author just releasing his first
This book was a good read for me, but I also read book reviews to help me keep track on what I am reading. These book reviews just made a better understanding of what I was reading.
If you were in a situation where you had no idea what was going on, and someone proposed an idea that could help you, and give you some direction, would you believe them? In both stories, The Twilight Zone “The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street”, and All Summer In A Day, the theme is expressed that a single idea can turn a crowd into a mob. Something as little as one idea can turn people against one another, and get them to do things they might regret. In The Twilight Zone “The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street,” this is demonstrated when everyone is in a frenzy, and Charlie ends up shooting Pete Vanhorn. In All Summer In A Day, William’s claims lead to Margot’s condemnation, and her being locked in a closet. A combination of confusion and imagination can lead to something dangerous and chaotic pretty easily.
Freak the mighty is a very unique book. In the book there are 2 main characters, Max and Freak. Max is big and a little dumb while Freak is tiny but very smart. Although they are very different , they become the best of friends. Feak is unable to walk so he rides on Max’s back. Theygo on many adventures, Freak will be the navigator and Max will listen to Freak. Max’s father is a criminal named Killer Kane. His father going to be on parole because he was good in prison. Max is now worried because his father might come back.
Book keep me interested and made me want to keep reading. I really don’t know if I would read
...was outstanding. She gives great insight to the horrors and the suffering and allows the reader to be placed into the same place with a large understanding of the emotions that took place. The only thing to complain about is the prolonging amount of detail on the dates and statistics. It’s hard to follow and difficult for one to pay attention and that’s where it became mundane. I can definitely confirm that it was worth the purchase and the time spent into the read. I could honestly say that I’ve already recommended it to others, and I will continue to do so. The people I’d recommend it to though is people interested in the subject and overly eager to learn about new things as opposed to my buddies.
I would recommend this book to people who love realistic stories. Personally for me it is hard to find books that interest me and this one felt like if I was watching someone else's life while I read it. It has so many interesting points. When you think something might happen
“Sometimes in life you find a special friend. Someone who changes your life just by being part of it. Someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop; Someone who makes you believe that there really is a good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it” - Unknown.
With an increase in industrialization people migrate to the cities for the jobs available. The bosses of these companies were free to do whatever they desired since the government had a laissez-faire policy. This brought many problems since the bosses were corrupt, greedy and cared very little for the well being of their employees. Middle class Protestants who wanted to address and fix the corruption going on in society started to show up in the late nineteenth century, they became known as Progressives.
I would definitely recommend this book for a friend to read! I really liked this books cause it has lots of action in it and when there isn’t any action happening, it’s just building up to some more action. I also liked this book because you really get to know the characters and everything is very detailed, especially the war scenes. The most important reason I like this book has to be because of all the action.
My favourite part about it’s about the part of greek mythology that isn’t well known. The book was very interesting but some may find it a hard read due to all the little details that become big details in the later books. If you enjoy this book I would highly recommend reading the rest of the series, Days of Blood and Starlight and Dreams of Gods and Monsters. Some books you might like from other authors include Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter, and Shadowshaper by Daniel

The fairytale The Beauty and the Beast is illustrated as a love story, however when looking deeper into Belle’s nature it seems to be that she is affected by several disorders throughout the film. In Beauty and the Beast, we see Disney once again sugarcoat personal problems in order to present a young audience with a one dimensional and simple female hero. Belle has clearly shown symptoms of Schizoid Personality Disorder, Stockholm Syndrome and Schizophrenia which can be treated by a biological therapeutic approach or a psychoactive drug approach and therapy.
An Essay on. The Stranger; The Absurd One Ring to rule them all. One Ring to find them. One Ring to bring them all.
I would recommend this book to everyone because it is interesting and it made me reflect about whom I am, and what I am doing with my life. It made me think about all the risk that I did not take because I was afraid of what others think. It made me realize that sometimes I need to be selfish with what I want. It gave me the pleasured to rethink about all the things that I did not say because I thought that it did not worth it. Sometimes it is difficult to understand all those things without being close to death. This book teaches me how can I be happy and be crazy because sometimes what we really thing is insane could be the most normal thing for others. It thought me to not be like everyone else if not to be different because that is only thing that could make us happy.
